Although the customer service was amazing. The taste of the food wasn’t authentic, the carne asada had a weird taste to it. Only thing I liked was the popusa. The lime juice they provided tasted like fermented old juice. Overall I love the atmosphere and place but the food was not it. I don’t think I’ll come back.

I would give this place no stars if possible. The food is not authentic and so overly priced. We ordered a variety of tacos, burrito, and pupusas. Some had no flavor and some we couldn’t even eat. I cannot believe we paid $80 for just 3 tacos, 2 pupusas and a burrito. Insane. We couldn’t even finish the food. The best thing we ordered was the water.

As a new OB resident I have been trying all the food joints in town. I did have high hopes that Taco Bay would be my go to spot for mexican food and the like but….it just isnt clicking with me. To be completely honest, it just reminds me of a really bad school lunch version of chipotle. The pork has no flavor, the rice has no flavor etc. the presentation is awful(for the bowl i got) But the thing that really turned me off the most was when the server asked me if I wanted shredded lettuce on my bowl and I said yes; only to return home and see that its actually cabbage(which I despise) idk, i hate being mean, im not a troll. But I was just looking for a satisfying lunch today and I ended up throwing this out before i even finished half. I just couldnt. You may find something you like here but I sure didnt

Really nice place. Tacos and quesadilla were both great. The outside seating area was great and they let us sit with our dogs there. They were also very nice and bright water for our dogs. Very happy my family stopped there.

I would give zero if it was a choice. Extremely overpriced and underwhelming. I was so optimistic when they reopened but will definitely not recommend or visit again. I bought double tacos expecting two as that is what the picture shows. Below is a 10.50 taco. Sad.

Perfectly balanced textures and ingredients in the shark tacos. Homemade tortillas were freshly made, warm and tender. Lightly seasoned crispy fresh fish with slivered crunchy cabbage, a tangy lemon cilantro dressing and a delectable finely diced pico de gallo. Delicioso!

The food here is outstanding. This will definitely be our go-to for Mexican food. High quality ingredients and lots of topping options. Personal favorites are the carnitas bowl and the chicken tinga tacos. Great value for the level of quality. If dining in, the space is clean, smart casual, and family friendly ((high chairs available etc). Happy to have discovered this local gem.
