This restaurant is a must here in Salt Lake. The food was so delicious and the venue is very quaint. You definitely get the “Avenues” vibe in this restaurant. We have tried pretty much everything on the menu and we can’t wait to go back again. Staff is very efficient and friendly, drinks are very well crafted and priced very reasonably. Make sure you have a reservation.

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. This place is small but mighty! Make sure to grab a reservation, we went in on a Sunday evening with a reservation and the place filled up immediately. They are also located downtown so you may need to circle the area a couple times to find a good spot. Even if you do have to park a block away, who doesn’t love a stroll in the Avenues?

Food was great, we tried six dishes total. The appetisers came out quickly, the wings, Mac and smoked Ham Croquettes. All good, interesting flavors but well enjoyed. Our main dishes took much longer, then while we were waiting we were informed that one of the dishes was sold out, we ordered all our dishes other than the desert at the same time so the wait and then the wait to find out it was sold out seemed odd. We ordered a substitute and received that and a dish we didn’t order a bit after that. The staff was kind enough to comp and put to go the dish that was swapped with the complete incorrect dish. The space is small and well packed but it’s just right for the vibes. The problem that caused us to get incorrect dishes was the irritatingly loud music. It was a packed house and I said “what” to my partner almost more than any other word. It felt like a bar halfway through the meal as the music was turned up more the closer it got to the end of the night. We found out it’s a common occurrence. We will surely be back to try more dishes. But we will bring a megaphone to communicate with our servers and each other. Unless “Club Wildwood” just goes back to Wildwood. Please at least have someone check your sound design I felt like I was in a subwoofer for two full songs. Desert was, okay.

Wildwood was EXCEPTIONAL!! But that’s exactly what you’ve come to expect with Chef Mike Richie at the helm. So thankful the bestie and I were able to snag a table!

The sesame sauce for the chicken wings is very good. Braised pork belly melted in your mouth. It comes with roasted grapes, fingerling potatoes and green apples which were a nice compliment…but for me the shishito peppers just filled the plate needlessly. The burger is very good, greasy, yet good The caramelized onion on the burger is amazing. Fries were also perfect. Liked the garlic aioli.

This was our first time dining at Wildwood. We ordered the wings to start and they were honestly some of the best wings I’ve had. Super moist but a nice, crunchy outside. The sesame sauce that comes with them is next-level. We ordered two entrees afterwards: the steak and frites and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was actually really good! Super crunchy breading and moist chicken. The mashed potatoes weren’t as creamy as I’d hoped, but still yummy. The sauce at the base was sweet and was a good contrast with the chicken. The steak and frites is where things went south. We ordered the steak cooked to medium, and it was rare. Not medium rare, rare. Inedible. We tried to eat the fries, but they were soggy. The béarnaise sauce on the steak also wasn’t that great, but that was our opinion. Our server was very kind and asked if we wanted the dish remade but it wasn’t worth it at this point. They said they’d give us a free dessert – which we appreciated – but an $8 dessert doesn’t really make up for a $35 entree (the most expensive one, might I add). We accepted the dessert though, and got the beignets. They were ok. I thought they were a tad stale in some parts. We’re giving four stars though because the wings and the fried chicken were good, and the server was really awesome!

Mac. and. cheese. The burrata salad, wings, and beignets were delicious, but the mac and cheese is the star of the show. Creamy, slightly crunchy, perfectly cooked shells, it is all you could ask for in a mac and cheese. I will certainly be returning to try some of their entrees, but the mac and cheese will be a mainstay of any visit of mine to Wildwood.

What a delightful first time experience. Food was delicious and well priced. The outside dining atmosphere was relaxed, private and well-shaded. It’s in a neighborhood, which felt quaint and charming. Inside dining seemed to have louder music. Braised pork belly and beet salad were to die for. The citrus halibut ceviche was good, but not my favorite. You’ll find a unique and fresh variety here, as I heard they change their menu daily. I look forward to coming back again soon!

We have been here a few times, really perfect pairing of homey and casual with finer dining. We always get more family style and share, and everything has been delicious. The menu rotates every once and a while so what’s online may not be what’s in house. I wish the more “appetizer” style dishes were slightly smaller so we could try more dishes, but it just keeps us coming back to try more items.
