The food was good, although a little bland. My grandson and his wife paid for my lunch but on the ticket we noticed that they charged us for green sauce ,now we don’t mind the charge but we didn’t know they did that our waitress did not tell us that. Also on the ticket was a charge of almost three dollars for ? What it was we don’t know the man says it was for using cc machine,but If that’s the case why was it on there before we went to pay so in my opinion I feel like that charge was for something else and they just tell the customers that to keep them from complaining! I’m not sure if I will eat there again just because of those things.

The atmosphere was nice. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. Unfortunately the food was not great. Avocado was starting to turn black and the chicken was so dry I couldn’t eat it.

I love this little place….the decor is laid back and friendly….the food is always excellent and more traditional….the service is great as well….The prices are way better than most places nearby….and the portions are huge…just a great place.

No doubt, this is the best place to eat Mexican food since the store has a mini restaurant inside. It’s very well cooked, affordable and super yummy. They also have good verity of Hispanic food, and dishes, etc. Highly recommended!

Food is edible but not good and the service is horrible. That’s typical for Gilmer but there are better options. Friends picked this place so I went again, but this would never be my choice for a place to eat in Gilmer.

Had the veggie quesadilla and it was really good. Boyfriend had cheese enchiladas and he liked them. Chips were super stale and when we asked for fresh chips they came back smelling like burnt grease. Don’t think this is always the case. We’ve been here plenty of times and it’s usually really good. You have to pay at the counter and so I tipped cash at the table and then gave the young man at the counter cash and he gave me change back and then when I got in the car, I counted it to stick it back in my wallet and he shorted me $4 but it wasn’t enough to go all the way back in the restaurant. It was a Monday night around 6:30 and they had two waitresses covering the entire 20 tables. Service was awful, kept forgetting things like napkins, a straw, drink refills. Food is good though and we will be back. They just need more staff. Oh, and I forgot to say that the hot sauce / salsa was amazing. Never had anything like it. They must have changed the recipe but it was wonderful

The burrito challenge was a pleasure to under take. They were very accommodating of a group of 20 with 8 people doing the challenge burrito. The challenge burrito is absolutely massive. It is the size of a small child and weighs in excess of 8 lbs as served. The flavor was awesome the steak fajita meat was perfectly cook.
