Great location and ambience, the service staff is very attentive and the menu is creative with a little something for everyone. Ingredients are fresh and you can taste it in the food. We went in the afternoon and ordered from the happy hour menu. I had the fish & chips and my wife had the summer pear salad. Both were presented amazingly and delicious! We washed it down with a couple of Dos XX lagers from the tap and then we topped it off with dessert. We ordered the Pain Killer, an incredible culinary creation that you’ll be glad you tried. We’ll be back!

The restaurant is very charming the building looks like a Spanish colonial house and the inside decoration is more contemporary, is like it you are transport to a different periods of time.

My wife and I were in town visiting my daughter. We were looking for some place to eat an early dinner. Unfortunately, most places in Tucson don’t start serving dinner on Sunday’s until 5 pm. Kind of weird, but luckily AG has happy hour with a really nice patio. So we decided to kill an hour on the patio then move into the dining room. I really liked the decor of this place, very clean and modern. Reminds me of a nice restaurant in New Orleans. Some of the dishes are more adventurous. Both my daughter and I ordered the halibut, which came with roe. My daughter asked for hers on the side, which I ended up adding to my dish. My halibut was cooked to perfection, but hers was a little overcooked. All in all a very nice, but expensive restaurant near downtown Tucson.

While in Tucson for the second time, this place was a must to return to! Our first visit was a little over a year ago, the food was so delicious, we had to go back. It was a great surprise to see Tanya still there, she is amazing and knows her stuff. The menu was a little different from our first time here, so we got quite a few things to try. We started with Barrio Bread (James Beard Award) with whipped butter and sea salt, and the Marinated Olives hot marinated in citrus, garlic and herbs. Next we had the Forest Mushroom in madeira butter, apples, allium, and an egg. We ended with the Mussels and

Fun place for dinner and drinks. Had to sit at the bar because we didn’t call for reservations until late. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. We started with the Barrio bread, which is always good. The halibut dish with artichokes was divine. My husband ordered the calamari salad, which was just okay.

Phenomenal cuisine complimented by a wonderful staff and a warm inviting atmosphere. All of the dishes were perfectly executed, cocktails were good, and our server was over the top exceptional. New menu was even better than the last time we went. The manager even came by to check in, taking time to recommend and detail some of his personal favorites off the menu. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

It is amazing what you can do with a flat piece of land with some dedication. An oasis of gastronomy emerges. The restaurant is good by any standard. Simple but tasty, well composed dishes. Every element is interesting. From perfectly crispy crusty bread with delicious sour flavor, through a properly dressed salad (a rarity) to flaky, thick fish fillet in thin beer butter skin. All under canopies of trees. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

This trendy restaurant in the Mercado District exudes a “Tucson vibe” that should please just about anyone looking for classy, energetic ambiance, great food, and attentive service. The AK Burger was delicious and paired well with the chilled Sangria. The side of garlic frites were not just ordinary fries, but slender, slightly crisp potato strips that complemented the burger perfectly. Our server, Ben, had just the right amount of class, enthusiasm, and attentiveness to make us happy diners who will keep this on our list of places to visit again.

Wonderful hidden jem. Went on a Tuesday night. Was close to closing time and concerned about it affecting the quality. Several other parties including a group doing dinner and a birthday came after. Love that it is fresh and local sourced. Very light french. Would have love some more options. Chose the restaurant as it was a french bistro and had a patio. Patio was lovely! Cost is good for local and chef made. We did get oysters on half, Barrio bread, foraged mushrooms and crab cakes. Lovely and tasty. The slaw was a little heavy and the pepper sauce slightly overwhelmed. That’s probably personal choice. I would get again although if planning would try the yabba data that takes 48 hrs notice.
