I was told that the food here was good, not by a long shot. I ordered a mushroom cheeseburger deluxe and it was worse than a McDonald’s cheeseburger. The lettuce was soggy, the mushrooms were straight out of a can and not a good quality can mushrooms. It came with fries and I ordered a side of onion rings, they were both so greasy it left a coating in my mouth so much so I couldn’t wait to get home and brush my teeth. The grease they must have used was old and not fresh. My wife order mushroom chicken fried rice and again it was so greasy she couldn’t finish what she put on her plate and left the rest in the to go box, oh yeah my wife and I were the only people in the restaurant and our food was brought out in to go containers. after this terrible meal I went into the men’s room and it was disgustingly filthy.

I’d give this no stars if it was an option. The single worst waitresses and service I’ve ever seen! 2 hour wait for food and then 30 minutes of standing there waiting for my check to pay!

We live about 35 min from this place and ordered take out. Ordered the mushroom beef, chicken cashew, egg rolls and fried rice. It was all better then I expected and we will be returning.

We had a large party and had called ahead letting them know that we would be coming. When we arrived, there were fewer places set up than we had requested. We told the server that there would be more coming and she ignored us. We ended up scooting more tables together ourselves.

Small-town diner-style restaurant serving Chinese food? In rural Utah? I was a bit dubious, but we were ready for lunch, and had heard good reports of the food. They were right! Well-seasoned toppings on rice needed no extra soy sauce, and the vegetables were done to perfection; they were crisp without being chewy, and had their fresh flavor supported, not drowned, by the sauce. Okay, here I go… So I visited this restaurant recently, and I quickly became surrounded by 5 large gentlemen. They demanded my credit card number and social security card. I was worried, so I began spinning around like helicopter blades, arms out and all. I hit them all at 500 RPM, and boy oh boy did I hit some crits. I would definitely visit this place again, just for the adrenaline rush of utilizing my new special attack. Thank you for everything.

Cedar City used to have one of the best Chinese food places in the country called “The China Garden”, they had all the favorites that people love but they had a “from scratch” home cooked flavor and feel to them. I’ve eaten Chinese food all over the US from China-Town in Manhattan to San Francisco and The China Garden was the best by far… Joe Yee’s restaurant is the closest thing to the China Garden that I have found in all my travels. We travel from Cedar City about once a month to eat here (its that good). The food here is slightly more greasy than The China Garden, but lets be honest, all Chinese food is a little greasy. My favorite dish is combo is the Chicken Chowmein, with ham fried rice and Sweet and Sour Pork. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the cook doesn’t allow ANY deviation from the printed menu so if you want to mix and match you can’t. Other than that, the staff is friendly and they have an interesting free appetizer of butter and soda crackers that I forget about and am always surprised when they bring it out… If you’re in this neck of the woods, do yourself a favor and stop here..

Very good service and the Chinese food was great but it is not American Chinese food it is very authentic so you may think it’s not what you are used to it is a little bit different but we really enjoyed it because it was the real thing. It is very much worth the drive!!
