Seriously good food you’d have to drive south 300 miles to find the Carne Asada Burrito made with nothing but steak, pico, and guacamole. Everywhere else very little steak and all rice and beans, they don’t cheat you of a real Carne Asada Burrito.

I’m a walking garbage disposal that ate and actually enjoyed military food from my service days, so when I say the following, I mean it! One of the worst Mexican food restaurants we have ever eaten at. Overly expensive for small portions, orders with missing paid for extra items, and hazardous food. The street tacos are tiny, barely filled (half the amount pictured in menu online) and way over priced, the burritos are a travesty of slop with careless globs of ingredients not layered in and bad flavors, and the rice is just BAD. I mean, how do you screw up rice??? They scammed me with the menudo as well as could have caused a medical situation due to it. My menudo has a giant inedible joint bone in it almost the size of a baseball so they tricked me on portion size. The soup also has SHARP chips of bone in it that I could have choked on. I caught it last second and choked and spit it out! I’ve gone to various qualities of restaurants that have better menudo with more in it and larger portions at half this price! The combo plate was horrible and twice the price it should have been. I’ll be going back to talk to the manager tomorrow, which will be a first in my life. It was that bad. Also, for some reason they required running my credit card a second time AFTER giving me my order receipt. I will be watching my credit card account.

El forastero is amazing. I call it my favorite mexican restaurant for many reasons 1. the stuff their tacos really generously 2. Their beans. Rice, tacos, chips, etc all very very good and tasty 3. They have combo options i would recommend combo #8. Overall 9.7/10 do not remmond the pina colada though.

I love the carne asada burrito here. it’s simply carne asada, quacamole, cilantro, and pico de Gallo, just like it should be. the burrito is big enough to share, or make 2 meals of it. quick drive thru service!

They have delicious crema that is provided for your tasting pleasures free of charge at the salsa bar. The avacado salsa as well as their deep fried onions and jalapeños gice lure to classiness. Which are also free of charge. I appreciate the attention they attempt to show to our greenhouse gas emission by keeping the napkins behind the counter. The next step would be using paper instead of styrofoam, but babysteps. A taco with ample amounts of lechuga, some cojito, complimented by the vegetables at the salsa bar, is a meal in and of itself. Bang for your buck at under $3. I am very pleased with this taco shop. ♡ They also provide great service and work hard to make their customers (us) happy. The only thing I would like to see changed is adding vegetarian options to the menu. For example, mushroom or potato tacos and refried beans without lard. Although it would not be as authentic. I have not tried much on this menu as my diet is limited, but what I have tried is definitely inspired by Hispanic home cooking.

Surprisingly good for a fast food Mexican restaurant. I had the chicken enchiladas and they were loaded with chicken. The refried beans were really good too. I’ll definitely come back.

I have recently moved from Texas to Auburn California and I have had a hard time finding good Mexican food that doesn’t over charge. I paid $37 for two Tamales, super nachos, California Burrito and two drinks. And it was SO WORTH IT! this food was seasoned perfectly and was absolutely huge portions! I will be coming here again!

It is absolutely the best mexican chain in the area. Great salsa bar with serve yourself chips, salsa, guacomole sauce, fried onions (who does that?), and condiments. No beer but many other choices. The name means “immigrant,” which I find hilarious, given the nature of politics in the area. Don’t tell..
