In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Daily Driver
Easy access location located right on Green Bay road. ADA accessible entrance, seating and restroom. The food for the price is disappointing. The two strips meal was slightly overcooked. I tried the lowest heat, and it was caked in dry rub, making the dryness of the chicken more pronounced. The Dave’s Sauce helps compliment the dry rub, so I’d recommend combing the two. It was worth trying, but I just can’t find the flavor or the value to bring me back. One design flaw of the location is the restrooms. Single use, no stall. A Few more square footage wisely used could’ve created two person use restrooms. The outdoor seating is nice, but careful with the wind, the tables can shake the food almost off the table.

This was my second time swinging through Dave’s. Again the food is consistent, fresh, and hot! Three things that are a must for great chicken. Nashville seasoning is spot on, one medium one mild. Love the fries as well!

I ordered pick up at this location. There happened to be a coupon, so I figured I’d try out this restaurant. I’ve never had Dave’s hot chicken before. Ordering online was easy. I was able to pick up my food quickly. I ordered a slider, fries, and chicken tenders. I ordered mild. The food was delicious. The chicken tenders were amazing. I paid about $15 for a meal. That did not include a drink or the discount after using my coupon. I was happy with my meal, I thought the price was a tad bit high. This restaurant is very similar to a Raising Canes, but with more variety. I’d go back again, most likely with another coupon. I do recommend this business if you’re a chicken lover.

The place itself is a little bare bones but it doesn’t matter because it’s clean, well-lit, and the chicken is excellent! Highly recommend! I definitely get why there’s been so much hype now. Also a very kind staff! We will definitely be back

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service and priced way TOO high based on taste of food. The chicken is not anything like “Nashville hot chicken” or Fry the Coop. A friend and myself sampled every flavor they offered at $4.79 a tender (7 flavors), 1 order of fries, and 2 fountain sodas, totaling near $50.00. I definitely would not recommend. If you’re wanting hot chicken without the drive to TN go to Fry the Coop in IL.

I had heard of Dave’s Hot Chicken and was so excited to try it, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. This is by far the most delicious chicken I have ever eaten. Not only is the food amazing but the staff is wonderful as well, and I will go so far as to mention Josh B. in my review because he went above and beyond to make my first experience here a wonderful one. I will definitely without a doubt be a regular customer!

Food was excellent. I ordered the #2 – 2 sliders (medium spice) with fries. Drinks aren’t included, but that’s ok. Got a strawberry shake with the order. Shake was decent. The fries were really good. From memory, they’re a little like Culver’s, but the seasoning used is something like Lawry’s. You may not need two sliders though and fries (or another side like coleslaw or Mac n cheese) to feel full. Don’t be deceived by the word “slider”… They’re as big or bigger (or longer) than the Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

We tried this after my son suggested it. He ordered #2 (2 sliders, fries, and a drink) and I ordered cheese fries. When ordering I was told that a waiver needed to be signed for the ‘Reaper’ hot level, so we just ordered ‘hot’.

I love this place so much. The fries are perfectly crisp, seasoned, and fresh. The chicken is juicy and tender, and the breading they use is exquisitely crunchy. Dave’s sauce is possibly the greatest sauce I’ve ever tasted from any chain restaurant. The price is worth how quality every meal is. Don’t even get me started on the positively delightful decor this location has. Every employee always gives 100% their best, and if I could give this review 6 stars, I absolutely would.
