The service was great they are very nice and the place is clean. Unfortunately the sushi was not good at all. Came here because Sushi Thai was closed, and saw the reviews so I thought I’d give it a try. I got 2 shrimp tempura rolls and a California roll and they both were not good. Very chewy, did not taste fresh, barely any flavor.

This sushi house is not in plaza with high foot traffic. Their storefront is definitely not the most attractive either. So honestly I didn’t have much expectations. The staff were friendly though. My husband and I ordered an eel roll, an avocado spring roll, a spicy tuna roll and a crunchy tempura shrimp roll. And my gosh they were all super delicious!! Mind you I am not a desperate sushi eater . In fact I am quite picky and I can definitely tell if they are authentic or not. The size of the sushi were made just right. In Japan the sushi are meant to made into bite size so you won’t make a mess when you consume them. And this place made it the way I would see them in Japan. The crunchy roll was super crunchy. The spring roll is very refreshing. My only regret was that I only ordered four rolls! If you love sushi don’t miss this place.

Why this place doesn’t have a line around the block is beyond me! Sushi was incredibly fresh and well presented. Also affordable!! I’ve been to higher priced, “fancier” sushi places in town that aren’t nearly as good as this little hole in the wall. Yes, there is hardly any decor (a few picture on the wall would be a lovely addition), but let’s be honest: I’d pick great food over decor any day. Stop throwing your money away at other places. Definitely give Dear Sushi a try!
