Very nice ambience in this restaurant. We arrived around 10:45am on a Saturday and had a 35 min wait. I ordered a $16 hamburger that was very good but not worth $16. Our server was super fantastic and attentive. This is not a restaurant I would ever go out of my way to go to again. The main reasons are very limited menu, long wait time and good food but not great. Also, according to the other reviews I have read the dinner portions are small and expensive.

The food and wait staff here are some of the best we’ve experienced in San Antonio since moving here from a larger city with a world-class food scene. The cabbage pancake was so creative and delicious! The cocktails, corn fritters, pizza and fried chicken were flawless as well. My only critique would be with the atmosphere. We were there for dinner and the abundance of overhead LED lights creates a very sterile, cold feeling that’s not in keeping with the quality of the food and service. Some warmer overhead lighting and candles on the tables would make a huge difference.

The food and the atmosphere are very good. I came last for a late dinner and it was fantastic. The flavors are on point. I ate some of the best grits I have ever had. We ate out on the patio by choice and it was nice.

We came here for brunch today. I had an egg sandwich with sausage. The sausage was homeade amazing. The home potatoes were also perfect. My wife had an egg/prosciutto pizza. It sounded a little strange but tasted amazing. Everything was perfect, I will be back to try the biscuits and gravy or their burgers! Had the pork chops tonight, amazing

Excellent service from the host, and wait staff. Multiple people pitched in to help with any needs we had and especially our waitress Belle. Food was delicious, served very hot straight from the grill. Mimosas were served with fresh juice and will definitely return.

Based on the reviews I was expecting a lot more. Service was great. Ambiance was ok. Food was good, but none of it “wow”ed us, especially for the price. I can tell the kind of food+menu they’re going for, and they’re just slightly missing the mark on really excelling at it. Everything was pretty good, but not great. Probably won’t make the effort to come back.

This restaurant is incredible. The food is seasonably-based and always so fresh. I’ve been twice and it’s consistently great. Their patio is lovely on a cooler evening, and the indoor space is comfortable and welcoming. I’ve always had excellent service as well. Try it out for happy hour, you won’t be disappointed.

Great brunch. Very loud space. We were a 3 top that they seated in a small room with a 12 top. We couldn’t converse with each other because it was too loud. Nothing has been done in the dining room to lessen the noice. Food was good. Presentation was lacking. For example, expect to get a plate purposely platedbut with no intent to make the food more visually appealing. Purpose and function period. So the food appears on the plate as if it was plated on a compartmentalized cafeteria plate. Meat here, veggie here, sauce here…plate by numbers. Food is good. Freshly and craftfully made. Good. Room to grow, but worthy of a repeat visit. Fully satisfied but still hoping that next visit knocks it out of the park. We had steak and eggs, correctly prepared. Tough meat though. State street biscuit sandwich. Too big to eat as served so to will have to disassemble the sandwich in order to eat it. And, the brisket and eggs with tortilla. The potatoes were delivered 5 mins later because they needed to be made. Hmm. Timing is everything in this industry. Brisket was tender and smoky although linear in flavor. The dish was made better with the salsa. Ok enough, but not ready for a reorder or encore performance. Solid wine selection. No mimosa option for brunch. Service was excellent. Belle was amazing. Great recommendations.
