Been eating their sandwiches for over 40 years. I ordered a turkey sandwich, like I always do, there was only two and half slices of meat. When I come through Gainesville – I no longer live in Hall county – I love to get a sandwich. Too sad! For the price and legacy, I expect a loaded turkey sandwich like they have always made.

Coming from this being my first time eating here, they had AMAZING food. When you order a sandwich, they don’t hold out on giving you a real sandwich. I ordered a turkey sandwich on a Kaiser roll with a bag of chips and the man was kind enough to give me three bags of chips because he said that only one bag didn’t justify the amount of food I should be getting. I love this place and definitely will be back!

I didn’t receive any ones from the change, so I showed the order taker that I was putting a 5 dollar bill in and said, “ I’ll just take 4 ones out. Just try to help, had the 5 dollar bill in my hand. When I reached in to get 4 ones and drop the 5 dollars in, the sandwich maker yelled at me, “Don’t reach in there, we’ll get it! No please, nothing and loud enough for the customers behind me to hear. I tipped them any way, but I didn’t put it in the jar I laid it on the counter! I was so embarrassed and felt horrible. I later called them to say how upset I was. The order taker answered the phone and was nice, but, the yelling man didn’t talk to me or apologize. I cried & cried, I was so upset, he made me feel horrible and I was only trying to tip & help them. Rude!

Just checked out the new location off Browns Bridge road and was pleasantly surprised. I got a Turkey sandwich on a roll. The sandwiches are premade. They offer Ham, Turkey and Roast Beef on either whole wheat bread, rolls or rye bread. I tried the turkey on a roll and enjoyed it very much. The sandwich had mayo, mustard, cheese and pickles. I would have liked more mustard but they didnt have mustard packets. I guess I could have asked them to add more mustard and im sure they would have so cant really complain. My sandwich and drink cost $5. Not bad.
