We went here for my daughter’s 5th birthday per her request. We had a large group of people with us, dine in at the buffet. My other daughter (7 years old) was eating a salad and found a bug in it mid plate! The server was very good and immediately was attentive to the issue and took the issue to the assistant manager, Rob. He came over and explained that he would “make sure to train the staff better at making sure things like that get caught because most of his staff are new.” clearly this isn’t a new issue. I asked if we would be refunded for our meals to which he replied he would give me a free buffet for the next time, just me. He then said he couldn’t do any refunds if we had been there more than 30 minutes, which we had not. So he then takes my receipt and says he will take a look at it. He then returns to tell me he can refund 2 of the buffets. To which I respond that it was crazy because my 7 year old daughter really found a cockroach in her salad mid plate! He proceeded to argue with me because “It wasn’t a cockroach it was a flip bug!” He was not apologetic at all and was very condecening in the his tone as if we had done something wrong, continuing to go back and forth with me. He definitely did not take any accountability other than the lack of training to the staff! At that point I took the refund and got the information for corporate. I have already put a call in and they were closed so I will be speaking to them in the morning!

Update, 05-19-2023: Not very good today. I was pretty disappointed with our experience. First there was a rat terrier, illegally, non hygienic, and disgustingly, allowed to be at a table where people eat! The owners were feeding it from their plates. In what alternate universe would that ever be acceptable? In no fashion or form was this a trained service animal! (“Emotional Support Animals” are not legally allowed in restaurants, plus they are not recognized by the ADA as a real thing, like anyone with a grasp on reality. Next the food was very low quality, even for a buffet place. We also had to clean out own table off. They weren’t even busy, yet. One woman was in the closed off area and cleaned the same empty tables for 40 minutes. No one was even back there. We go to leave and there is a car with three large dogs locked in with windows up. Like, come the heck on!!! I think that I’m done with this location.

For a goladen corral, it’s pretty legit. The food has always been fresh and good. It’s fairly cheap for what you get, and the service has always been really friendly. Friendly service when you have little kids goes a long way in my book.

The Golden Corral in Clarksville has come a long way. It has headed up-and-down but it’s always a nice place to get a variety for your family so. That way if you’re indecisive about what you want. It’s kind of a five and one dining experience highly recommended for those nights when you don’t know exactly what you want for dinner

The chicken is always good here. The rolls and gravy also.fried fish is good. The steak alot of times is that tangy flavor of not waiting till the charcoal turns white. And the steak guy acts like he is guarding gold bars. I’m sure management must tell them not to cook enough. Then more people get something cheaper. Saving that money. The grandkids love this place or I would never go.

Honestly for this visit to be post-COVID I was not mad about the experience. The staff, Bre, was really nice made sure our drinks stayed full. The food was decent, not like how it use to the but turn around time for food wasn’t bad. It was clean as well. Everyone seemed to be taken care of and no issues arises while there.
