I think we were surprised at how amazing the food was at this little cafe in Orange. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but we had some of the best authentic diner food any of us have ever had. It’s been a while since we’ve been, but it does make me want to head back to Orange! The Cajun grilled shrimp was to die for, and the chicken fried chicken was amazing, so was the country fried chicken biscuit!! Do stop by here!!

In Orange, Texas, to visit family today. stopped by the Old Orange Café for lunch. Two members of the group had salads with grilled shrimp on top. The salads were super fresh, the shrimp was seasoned and grilled to perfection, and the salad dressings were out of sight. I highly recommend the white balsamic vinegar dressing! Another member has the Fiesta Burger, spicy heat for the “not faint of heart”… looked great and was reported as delicious!

Sweet tea was excellent. Service was excellent. Chicken fried steak was pretty good. Fries were very good. Gravy just needed some pepper. Overall the food was very good and the service was great. The prices are steep. One side with the chicken fried steak was $17 plus whatever the drink cost. $20 per person is steep for what you’re getting. That’s steak house money to me and that would include 2 sides and bread/rolls/etc for the table included. The prices are the only thing that would keep me from coming back.

Fantastic, great atmosphere & awesomeservice. we had Chicken Parmesan and it was some of the most unique flaored food I’ve ever had and the Bread Pudding was to die for, the best I’ve ever had. We had a wonderful dining experience ❣

I love the atmosphere and history of the place, and all of the old photographs from around Orange. The food is delicious! I had the shrimp bisque, the quiche of the day, and a salad with white balsamic bacon dressing. My husband had the blue cheese burger and the onion rings. I also had the coconut chess pie for dessert. Everything was absolutely scrumptious! Just go.

Decent cafe food. I always check the Reuben first. A little too soggy and needed some more kraut, but tasty. Regular fries were unimpressive, and an unnecessary extra $3 charge. Sweet potato fries were better.
