We came here a few years ago and they had an incredible lunch Buffett. Now… the zucchini was delicious. The service was slow. The battered fish and chips are actually frozen/reheated breaded fish with frozen French fries. None off the steaks were cooked correctly, but it didn’t matter because the steak had no flavor. Grilled fish had no flavor and the shrimp is the worst on the island. The drinks were never refilled, but that’s ok because the sodas didn’t even taste right. Just hit one of the many shrimp trucks the food is better, cheaper, faster and actually have a home cooked appearance.

If I could leave negative stars I would… Their service is the worst I have ever had and their food is standard at best. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE TIME! We waited about 15 minutes for someone to seat us, and about an hour before all of us received our drinks. Another couple next to us grew tired of waiting and left. We would have left but one of my friends knew someone who worked there. I literally went out to my car and brought a drink back. In summary, ~$120 (not including the undeserving tip my friend left) wasted, about 2 hours down the drain, and a swarm of flies waiting to invade your plates. I am guessing they do not get to eat much based on the service alone… The ONLY nice thing about the place was the beach and mountain view.

The shrimp tasted far from fresh, the sauce was thick and overpowering, the lettuce on the salad tasted stale, and everyone else I was eating with seemed to agree that the quality of the food was below average. Excellent service and a spectacular view of the ocean, though!

After driving around the island sight seeing, we wanted to stop at a “local” place. the food was mainland style crap. the only thing “local” on the menu was pineapple coleslaw that tasted like it came out of a plastic bucket from wal-mart. they even didnt have half the menu they didnt know why they “were out of _____” the bill was tourist price and the waitress never refilled our water or sweet tea. they owner is not even Hawaiian he from Jamaica. do stop at the tourist shop either. take a picture and drive until you get some where else!!!

We had lunch at the Crouching Lian in the late 1900’s and were very pleased with the service and quality of the food served, not to mention the view !

This place is going the way of a lot of former great places on Oahu. The location is outstanding but the business has gone far from what it used to be or what it take to be successful. What a shame.
