Established in 2000. Ricky’s Tacos was created by Ricardo Garcia. It has been in business for around 20 years serving delicious Mexican fast food. For the most part Ricky’s has been located in the same place here in Salem which has created a great amount of loyal and local customers. Our business guarantees fast and delicious service. We focus on making simple well made Mexican cuisine. We also serve catering events so feel free to speak with our manager and owner Ricky.

I came here to order a chicken burrito based off on the good reviews. Here’s my experience. Pros: the guy was quick at making the burrito. He was polite. Cons: I was charged for more than the price displayed for the Burrito. I payed 8.25 for the regular sized burrito which I was told was 7.00 and the large was 8.50. The burrito barely had meat, it had more rice than meat or beans. The taste of the burrito was dry, there was not that savory taste that I normally look for when buying from good street taco trucks. I had high hopes for tasty food here.

The tacos were barely filled. I can find cheaper tacos with more meat. It wasnt bad tasting but for anyone who knows their tacos these were average. Service was good and quick but my biggest disappointment was how much meat I got for $2 a taco.

Unfortunately I haven’t had the same experience as others. I’ve gone here 3 separate occasions and overall it hasn’t been anything to rave about. Any time I get carne asada it’s full of fat, tendons, and even bone pieces. Every bite of meat has something attatched to it and it’s very unpleasant. At first I figured it was just a coincidence so I didn’t think much of it. Now that it’s been multiple times it seems to be normal. Hopefully we’ll be able to find a good quality mexican place around here soon.
