We decided to pop into this little bar on one of our Sunday rides. We were not disappointed! They have a cool rustic Montana vibe and is very spacious inside. There is bar seating as well as plenty of high and low top tables. It wasn’t dark or dreary like some bars.

This was the first and only time I have eaten here. We went for my father’s birthday dinner. The food was lousy. My burger was so salty I couldn’t finish it. My wife’s breakfast burger was mushy and not prepared correctly.

Big bull has the BEST coconut shrimp around. I grew up on the east coast and seafood is not a montana thing, so when I say this I don’t say it lightly, It is the best! From the bitchin chicken to the burgers, the appetizers to the fried icecream its all amazing. The atmosphere and staff are pretty great too 😉

The service at the Big Bull was second to none on our recent visit. We both ordered the chicken breast salad and it was delicious! Even though this is more of a bar and grill setting, their customer service model is one that many other local restaurants could benefit from by following.

Definitely a good place to stop and get a meal but it was just a little pricey. It’s a sign of the times though. It is disappointing that they only take cash but do have an ATM to get it. It’s kind of crazy in this world to see it but good on them for figuring out the system… The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wings were definitely a little soggy and made me think they were microwaved and dunked in sauce. Chicken tenders were overcooked but the portion of fries was definitely generous.

So, it’s actually been a year to the day since we ate here, but I was reminded of it today by the social media machine. What I remember, and what is worth coming here to post, is that it was the best bison burger my wife and I had ever had. So, if you are weighing whether you should eat here or not, there you go. Enjoy the bison burger.

After putting off a visit here all summer I wanted to love Big Bull but there wasn’t anything to love aside from the staff who did a great job of serving me! I went for breakfast where I did enjoy the bacon and potatoes but couldn’t stomach or get an answer why the eggs were crunchy.

We broke down just as we coated into this place. The waitress and patrons were so helpful. Bonus that we got to try their great hamburgers and fries.

Waitstaff was awesome, decor was cool, but husband’s burger could have been cooked more considering it is hamburger. Chicken burger was totally not what I was expecting since the burgers were handmade, I was really disappointed with a large prefab chicken nugget for my sandwich.

Waitress was nice but definitely not on her game. Took our drink and appetizer order (appetizer was definitely frozen, not fresh) then took about 15 minutes to come back to us and said “did I forget about you?”. I told her she did. She then asked my order and when I started talking, she turned and started talking to someone else and completely ignoring me. Once I got the burger I ordered, I took one bite and the meat was awful. Saved it for my dogs. Rest of the burger was good though. Chips and fries were both soggy. Also, they don’t take card, only cash. So weird. All in all, I won’t go back, especially when price is taken into consideration. Too high of a price when the meat needs to be taken off the burger to make it better.
