Food cooked perfect as always. 1st visit in awhile. Higher prices and extra charge for delicious tarter sauce. Wait staff, had to repeat requests to remind them. No longer had senior meals, but did offer discount. Good visit overall.

First time here and I will tell you this -you will leave nice and full! I got the Captains Platter that gave me tons of options. The waitress was super friendly and attentive- I love when you don’t have to ask for a second drink. My only issue I would’ve liked for the seafood to be fried a little more crunchy. Next visit I will ask for it that way. The hush puppies and honey butter was yummy also. And I liked the jumbo shrimp too!

Took my Mom and landlubbets they both love seafood and I don’t. Was very impressed by the friendliness of all the staff. I was very happy that they have options for landlubbers, too! Both of my companions ordered the Captain’s platter. I was told that the fish was very fresh and the food tasted excellent. I ordered the sirloin steak. The salad that was served with it was very crisp, the tomatoes tasted very good and I definitely enjoyed the Bleu cheese dressing! I ate the entire baked potato, too. To my immense surprise, my steak was actually rare (my preference) and very flavorful. We really enjoyed our experience here and will definitely come back. Maybe next time I’ll save room for dessert.

I’ve always wanted to eat at this place and had the pleasure of getting take home last year. My best friend and I actually went inside for lunch and I understand why this place is constantly packed! The food was amazing and priced extremely reasonably as well. There are so many things on the menu that I cannot wait to try. This place is pretty legendary and for good reason. They fill up fast when it comes to lunch and it is always a good sign to see police and first responders eating lunch there. I’m not even a big hush puppy fan, but the little hush puppies they start you off with along with the honey butter are definitely hitters. Catfish was wonderful, oysters were wonderful, flounder was delicious and those onion rings are slightly out of control. I can’t think of anything bad that I have had and I look forward to even trying some chicken or maybe a burger

I got the lobster tails but they weren’t sweet whatsoever. Was a big “no”. Wife got fish and enjoyed it. Sides were great. I’m not much of a salty fried food eater so hopes that the Lobster was good, it wasn’t. They don’t have crab legs right now which is why I came. Local seafood place worth return visits but I would like the Lobster tails for $35 to be way way better. Their fried coating is way, way over the top salty. Doesn’t need so much salt in it – that would be a big, big improvement if they got rid of the saltiness of the batter.

We found this place years ago after a day at a local theme park, back when it had a gravel parking lot. We’re from near Columbia, SC, and always try to stop here if possible if near Charlotte. The food is always amazing, lightly fried, tasty every time. The wait staff are pleasant, always a great experience, they even help each others tables out. They sell T-shirts for $10, I have a few. All-in-all, a great place for seafood. Every time I go, there are upgrades to the place, it’s off the beaten path, but the best kept secret. Check’em out.
