If you’re looking for a quiet place to eat in the Goshen / Prospect area, look no further. The phenomenal meal was presented to me quickly and for a fair price. I enjoyed their bean burger and (even though I am not vegetarian) it was INCREDIBLE. The food was fresh from the barbeque grill, lightly seasoned to allow the natural tastes to be complimented, not over ridden. The server was friendly and attentive. Even the cook (who I believe was also the owner) came out, spoke to us and has an obvious passion for the culinary arts.

They had tons of healthy options. They even had vegan sausage that was incredible. I loved the skillet potatoes and the fruit was so fresh and delicious. I cant remember my servers name but she was a very sweet woman. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Im from out of town and will definetly be coming back. Id love to see some vegan pancakes on the menu.

My mom and I stopped here on Sunday for a late lunch. We met Kris, the owner, and she was helpful and generous with her time and food portions. We ordered three sandwiches, and the food was filling and delicious. We will visit again. Highly recommend the entire experience.

It’s opening weekend at Melrose and I can tell they’ve been a bit rushed to keep up with unexpected demand. Waiting staff were a bit rustled, we came in and sat ourselves after standing for a few minutes. Immediately, we were made aware by our server that they were all out of sausage and bacon–not a good start for a brunch restaurant. We placed our order and my girlfriend asked if she could substitute a muffin for the bacon which was supposed to come with her meal. I ordered the beef tacos with skillet potatoes, and she ordered Kris’s Breakfast. After waiting about thirty minutes, our food arrived and I immediately noticed that my tacos had pickled onions and mixed greens, which are not a feature of the beef tacos. I also did not get the side of potatoes I ordered. My girlfriend didn’t get her muffin. I asked my waiter if this was the correct taco I ordered, and he said it was indeed correct. Although I don’t like pickled onions, the tacos were really good–just not what I ordered and was anticipating. My girlfriend enjoyed her food. I finally did get my potatoes and they were good, although a very small portion considering the side of potatoes costs 3.50$ a la carte. All things considered, the food was good, but at this price point, I would not expect any less. There isn’t much competition for the brunch market on US-42 right now, but if you want a filling and delicious breakfast at a good price point, I wouldn’t consider Melrose for now. However, if you want a casual breakfast or lunch sandwich and you live in this area, it may be a very easy stop for you. I will be giving them a good month or so before I return for a second opinion. It’s only fair to give them time to straighten things out.

Melrose just opened in this location this weekend, so I’ll focus on the food. Great food at a pretty decent price. Vegan pancakes were intriguing on the menu. If you are a fan of steel cut oatmeal and pancakes, you’ll like these. Heavy yet fried with a nice crust. I think the scuffin (a muffin mixed with a scone) will be a weekday favorite, as they take a dense muffin top and warm it up on the hot plate, caramelizing the bottom slightly; just heavenly… I think you should try it out, a great addition to the area.

I had breakfast with a friend today at Melrose. The menu offered a nice variety and the service was great! My special request was no problem and loved the can-do enthusiasm from the waiter. I will definitely return and try the lunch menu next time.

Ate there this afternoon – The food was impressively bland and tasteless. The service was poor. The substitutions for sides are WAY over-priced (extra $2 for a couple of strawberries and inedible pieces of pineapple rind?!) Found a hair in my bland sandwich at the end.

Really liked the food and the casual and slightly whimsical vibe. The food was great even though all of the tables were full and the server’s did their best (and more). For the three of us the food was sufficient quantity, but the quality of food was waaay better. Everything seemed freshly made except the potatoes

Creative menu offering selections that you don’t see anywhere else. Great service. Good seating options with plenty of booths and tables. We were there for a late lunch and will be back to try their breakfast menu soon.

We ate breakfast here and the food was very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My one small complaint is that the food was slow to come to the table. We will go back again and try the lunch menu.
