At our Marietta, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Ordered the fried pickles and shrimp…. absolutely awful, cold and tasted like the cooking oil was rancid. My wife ordered the grilled fish, it was cold, her corn on the cobb was mushy. We literally threw everything in the garbage (see picture). The fried pickles literally slithered down the garbage can.

Apparently, this place says they do military discounts, but they only support the service member, not the family. You can’t say you support the military but only halfway support the family. Spouses and children are part of the military family. As you can see, the highlighted shows only doing service member’s meal and family means nothing.

The place was a remake of long John S. The food wasn’t that great, very limited drinks, nothing to drink besides water for someone like me that has sugar. Would be nice if they had a sprite type or something else. They serve chicken nothing besides ketup, no BBQ sauce or anything else. The place was extremely pricey, and also for the food grade. Place was clean. Overall the stars relate strongly to the food quality and cost.

Went through the drive thru and ordered. Food took a little bit so I figured it would be fresh but absolutely not it wasn’t but Luke warm and they didn’t give me part of my order went to go bk and they were closed.

We’ve eaten there in the past and the food was good. Tonight we stopped by to get dinner. The food has definitely gone down hill. Fries and hush puppies were not all the way done. The shrimp was over cooked. Don’t waste your money. Very disappointed.

We got Deluxe Seafood Platters, they used to be so good, crab cakes and shrimp were always crispy. Fish and vegetables fresh, but I’ve noticed a steady decline and today was bland ,soggy , mediocre at best, I def won’t be getting that next time we come here, it costs too much and I wasted 3/4 of mine because it was terrible.
