I had the Thai chili tuna. The sauce was pretty good. The tuna was WAY over cooked and was by itself on a plate with no sides.. I ordered rice pilaf and it came 10 mins later… chicken sandwiches were slightly over as well but not bad. Fried Mac and cheese balls were tasty! 3.25 with room for improvement.

Great little Grill! We had chili since it was a cool rainy Boone day we also shared a Papagayo peppers appetizer which paired well! Perfect lunch and covered outdoor seating made for a great time enjoying the cool weather. We had a great service by El! We’ll be coming back again and again!

The food is absolutely delicious! Had the Mac n Cheese Bite appetizers which were FANTASTIC; a light & seasoned breading and the cheese inside was still creamy. Main meal was the Bacon Cheddar Burger; it was cooked perfectly to a medium and toppings were a good ratio to the patty & bun. I really like the fries here; they aren’t like your regular wedge, crinkle or shoestring fry like so many other places which definitely gives them a uniqueness. The fries were seasoned perfectly with just the right amount.

Went last night before watching a movie across the street. The place was completely packed and seemed like one of the busiest evenings since the place opened. To be honest the wait was really long, but I know that there are a lot of variables at play and the business is on the newer side. Our waiter was trying their best and applied a large discount without us asking for anything and didn’t tell us they did so either.

Our Food Rep for my restaurants suggested this place since we rarely go to Boone. The tuna sandwich was an excellent choice. Service was prompt and the bartender was very courteous. Refinery recommend.

Service was good and waiter was pleasant and polite. Restaurant itself is a nice small place with comfortable chairs. However, the person who rated the hamburgers so highly must love very well done, charred burgers. This place cannot cook burgers to order so if you like anything other than well done, go elsewhere. This was the first time we’ve tried New River Grill and we will not return.

Nachos were fantastic and my wife’s black and blue burger was very tasty. The jalapeno stuffed with a cream cheese filling was very spicy with excellent flavor. The staff was friendly and the service very good.
