This place has it ALL! Food, Service, and Ambiance. Arguably the best Afghani food I’ve eaten. Everything is fresh! The hummus and all the different sauces are so flavorful! I will be back many many times!

Potentially taking the title of best Afghan food I’ve eaten. Everything we ordered was delicious and to top it off, the service was incredible. Wali and Abdul are super hospitable hosts. Would definitely recommend coming here!

An amazing experience my family and I had last night. We had the lamb chops, Chicken Kabob, Sultani Kabob, Herat Combo, Fish Kabob, and Filet Mignon Kabob. The Fresh Orange and Carrot Juice was exceptional. The rice pudding and Firni were a great way to end off the meal.

One of the most amazing Afghan restaurants you can ever experience. Amazing owners, friendly inviting environment, great design and ambiance, and the icing on the cake is every single appetizer, entree, dessert is a burst of flavors, spices, & joy. Most tender meat cooked to perfection, every bite of which takes you on a trip to hills of Hirat & its most authentic cuisine

100% Halal and Delicious!!!! For starters we had the bread, classic hummus, and lentil soup. It was so yummy and fresh! For entrees we had chicken kabob, lamb chops, filet mignon kabob, herat combo, and meatballs qorma. Everyone devoured their plates. For drinks we had non alcoholics the pomegranate negroni, smoked cherry chocolate old fashioned and fresh orange juice. We did not like the smoked cherry chocolate so we sent it back. However the other two drinks were good! For dessert we had the chocolava with shir chai which was an amazing combo. The owner was absolutely one of the kindest people we met and the bathrooms were super clean. The service was a bit slow because of how busy it was. 10/10 would def recommend visiting here!

The food was amazing! We just asked our waiter to bring out his favorites and he happily obliged. He brought out a tasty lentil soup, humus combo of three different flavors, a shepherd salad which was a bunch of chopped veggies, the mantu which is kind of like a samosa, a bholani which is kind of like a dumpling, and then a combo meat plate with beef, chicken and lamb that came with three different flavors of rice. Everything had great flavor and was cooked to perfection. The only miss for us was their baklava and cannoli. They were just ok. The staff and owner were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. Thank you so much Walheed and Mohamed!

The best Afghan food you can have! I highly recommend Hills of Herat – this was my first time at this location, but I always visited the other location. This location is spacious, and the ambiance of the restaurant is immaculate. It’s a vibe, and I highly recommend visiting and having their food. Our table ordered Bolani, Mantu, Lamb Shanks, Lamb Kabob, Herat Combo, and Lamb Chops, and everything was delicious. The meat was tender and just cooked to perfection. It’s one of my favorite places to order from. They also do private parties and catering. They are BYOB if you want to bring something.

I have been to the Martinsville location already, so I am no stranger to how good Hills of Herat is. From the kind gestures when entering to the waiters coming to check on you often, is just the reason alone why most diners come here; the service is amazing. The food as always was superb, I got the chicken kebab and you’ll never eat more tender chicken than this! The choclava dessert is also amazing. Definitely one of the best afghan places in the tristate area.
