The portions were large and priced well for how much we were served. Our meals were hot, served quickly, and the side salad was crisp and full of flavor. Come hungry and ill bet you still will bring some home. Vahe was personable and helpful explaining all about the menu and making recommendations.

Awesome Iraqi restaurant. Loved the renovation, place looks much cleaner and they definitely raised the bar. Got masqoof with few appetizers, everything was prefect and tasted delicious. Fish was perfectly cooked. Bread and rice were fresh. Our host was super friendly and attentive. This restaurant is my must to dine in whenever I visit LA!

This place is unbelievable! If I call and order food between 6:30pm- 7:30 pm, the server and the chef will refused saying we need to closed. Hours of operation is showing until 8 pm. Clearly, they want to finish cleaning up and not to take any orders an hour at least before they closed. The chef and everyone facial expression were not happy and because I’m holding them back from leaving sooner. Someone did block my number so I wont be able to order food anymore. I report it to the manager, yet, they did not solve the issue. Food is amazing but zero star for the service.

I’m Iraqi and I was excited about this place but the the quality just wasn’t there. Appetizers were still cold to the core and the servings were small. For 100+ dollars I would have expected better quality and portions. It saddens me to say because I was hopeful it was going to be great given the reviews but I will not be going back to this place unfortunately.

I recently visited Akkad Iraqi restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. My friend and I wanted a simple side salad, but the waitress informed us that it was not on the menu. She offered to have the kitchen make one for us, but what we received was a big salad with chips bread that wasn’t what we wanted. We asked for another salad, but it still wasn’t what we were looking for. When we received the bill, we were charged $9 for something that wasn’t what we ordered. This was not good customer service and left us feeling frustrated. I have visited this place many times before, but this will be my last. I hope the restaurant can improve their communication with customers and their service.

Simply the best Mediterranean food ever! It’s not just any ordinary restaurant. They have food rooted in Iraqi culture. There’s so many choices to choose from. They even have weekly specials that offer unusual and traditional dishes. The hummus is to die for! I highly recommend this place.

The food was amazing, but the service could have been more friendly. Clearly, the chef wanted to get us out at 7:45 and refused to take any more dessert orders from 7:25 pm. They left us with no choice and pushed us out of the restaurant before their advertised closing time. While she was leaving, the chef looked rushing out (storming off) and wanted to get out ASAP, and her facial expression was not happy, maybe about us (probably) holding her back from leaving sooner. I recommend ordering takeout food (great food!), but we will likely be there later.

We ordered the kabob and shawarma (kas) and didn’t like either. The kabob was tiny and almost burned while the shawarma was salty and sour which the server agreed with. Will not visit again.
