Herrera’s is a great local restaurant with an amazing staff! We happened upon it on our trip and are so glad. Their menu is extensive and includes not only most every Mexican dish, but also seafood. We were there on a busy Friday, but were seated and served quickly. There was live karaoke and a festive environment. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only thing keeping them from 5 stars in my book was the food. It was hot and fresh and ok, but not excellent. I prefer more seasoning, a more spicy flavor. However, overall it was a great time out and we’ll return if in the area.

Herrera’s has some the best authentic Mexican food 50 miles West of Houston. I went on a trial Spree over a matter of weeks between Barker Cypress and Herrera’s (East to West), and Clay and Westheimer Pkwy (North to South) and Herrera’s is top 5 easily.

I’ve been eating here for years and it has everything my heart desires. They’ve added ceviche to the menu and I can’t get enough. Good service good food half-price margaritas on Mondays and Tuesdays all day.

Mexican restaurants are plenty in numbers here in Texas. When you find that small out of the way place that has great Mexican food, margaritas with service and prices that are crazy good, then you just stop going to the others. Apparently I’m not the only one who noticed! This place has gotten very popular over the last year. Give it a try I think you’ll agree.
