The overall experience was amazing! As soon as you walk in and give the passcode you are emerged in an exclusive experience. The ambience is very romantic. Service was excellent, the food came out a little slow but it was worth the wait! From the table side sangria and melt in your mouth sweet potato cornbread, to the succulent Cajun Mussels and tender and flavorful lamb chops and spicy curry lobster and seafood stew everything was very tasty! We will definitely be back. 10 out of 10 highly recommend

It’s had speakeasy vibes, hidden behind a little cafe bookcase. I’ll start by saying we had to wait 40 minutes even though we had a reservation, so that sucked. Anyway, on to the good parts- Inside was surprisingly big! The dj was running good tunes of Caribbean and Afro beat type music, it’s giving black owned business and we love that. The cocktails were pretty good but I was pleasantly shocked by the food menu, so Caribbean influenced among other cultures. We didn’t go there to eat so only shared a little food but overall cute place for a little date night. I’d recommend.

Best part is the vibe, however the food took a long time to come out and was just okay.

The overall experience was top notch and amazing! The food, drinks, service was top notch. We made a reservation and had to wait, but we received complimentary champagne while we waited. We enjoyed the live music. It was an epic Speakeasy Date Night!!! We definitely will be coming back.

It’s true, this place is a vibe…we came in for brunch at 11AM on a Saturday. You definitely need a reservation or you have to sit at the bar. Open Table will send you a password…which I missed, but someone told me when we got there. No coffee, but there’s plenty of cocktails. Service is slow but I think that’s part of the experience. Food was good, but not as good as I wanted it to be. The fried chicken benedict took 30mins longer than my food to come out & it was fried to death.

We came for Sunday brunch. This little place is a whole vibe. I love the decorations. So first let me tell you everything that we ordered was spicy. The menu doesn’t explain this. I didn’t have an issue with it because I love spicy however, the people I was with had an issue. One of them couldn’t even eat. Even the grits were spicy in the grits and Oxtails dish. We ordered the sweet potato It comes with a spicy honey drizzle over it definitely had a spicy kick. It tastes like regular cornbread no sweet potato to be seen or tasted in this dish, so I was a little disappointed with that. Now our reservation was at 2:45 so every other thing we ordered was already out of stock starting with the flavor of mamosas we wanted. The biscuits were out, the grit cakes that came with the lobster and shrimp dish were out so I had to get regular grits instead and the service was really slow. Service was much better than the reviews I read but still slow and as a warning they charge a 20% gratuity no matter what, even for only a party of 1 person. I enjoyed the experience and I enjoyed the food. The shrimp and lobster tower was good even with regular grits instead of the grit cake. The lobster, shrimp and grits were all cooked perfectly, It was spicy and I loved everything about this dish. Others at the table ordered the jerk chicken omelet and loved it, they said it was spicy but good. On the way out I ordered from the bakery. Peanut butter cookie, red velvet cookie and an oatmeal cookie sandwich. They were all delicious. I’d recommend making a reservation before 1pm to avoid food being sold out for the day.

It was a cool experience. My husband and I sat at the bar and the staff was super friendly and kind. We went for brunch on a Saturday. Service was fast and the food was tasty. For owner: those flowers in the bar wall… just an idea but I think it would be better utilized if made into something cool for the bar storage. There were tons of things on the bar making it feel a bit crowded sitting there. All things such as straws, shakers etc. could be stored behind the bar. Overall I think everyone should go and check it out!

I went to brunch on Sunday with one of my friends. This was not our initial visit to the restaurant. First attempted visit was not a great experience. I honestly was ready to give a review then. It was only because my friend knows one of the owners that I chose not to do that. I decided to try them again before giving my honest review.

Food and service were great! The place also has a really nice vibe too! We had the French toast and fried chicken Benedict – both were delicious.
