Ordered chicken katsu around 6:20 pm. I asked for a cup of water. Dude said no. Would’ve appreciated it if he said “I’m sorry, but we don’t give a cup of water.” But he said “no” & proceeded to turn away from me. Will never come back again. No matter how good the food is, if your staff does not show even a single sign of kindness, you will lose customers.

I always go to L&L when I’m on the mainland. I go for the Lau Laus. It seems to be the only restaurant that offers them outside of home. Visited this location for the first time. Was disappointed in the quality compared to other L&L’s on the mainland. The rice was overcooked and extremely dry as was the Kalua pork I ordered from the combo Kalua pork/ Lau Lau plate. Everything tasted old and dried out. Even the Lau Lau(which should be steamed to cook) was dry and leathery. I’m wary to return to this location. Hoping it was a one time thing. Every single other L& L I have been to was excellent and would highly recommend. If you haven’t before try the Lau laus / Kalua pork combo plate, they are delicious ( maybe just not at this location).

Do not order from here. I ordered a seafood and katsu mixed plate through door dash and when the order came they gave portions that were less than a mini plate. This place is definitely taking advantage of their customers. I know the cost of food has gone up but that’s flat out disrespectful to take the time and cut a regular sized katsu piece into pencil width thickness to appear like there’s more food on the plate than there is. I will never be ordering from here again.

Food was ono! Typical plate lunch style from Hawaii like I was hoping for. The interior itself looked like it had not been cleaned or dusted since it was opened. Kind of typical of that area, be forewarned!
