We just recently had our wedding party there. I cannot thank the manager, Steve and the bar manager, Angela enough they were so amazing making the night a big success Steve prepared all the food, and it was all so delicious. Our friends and family could not stop commenting about how delicious everything was. I would have any of our future parties or celebrations here. The cost is more than fair for all the things we got thank you again so much we will see you soon.

We were excited to try the food. They had Burnt End Poutine and Horse Shoe!!! Unfortunately, they did not do justice to these iconic dishes. My wife’s Screw City burger was way overdone. There is a way to char the patty with overcooking it. Heavy handed on the salt too. The only serving grace was excellent service.

Our food was pretty good tonight but not great. We waited a long time and when our food came it was a little lukewarm. My husband had the Cuban stack and he said the bun was over toasted but still ok. I had the shrimp grain bowl minus the rice and I was very impressed. It tasted really good and had a ton of flavor and texture. My friend had the brisket Mac n cheese and said it was amazing. We will definitely try this place again.

Nice bar with friendly and attentive staff. The bartenders and waitresses we’re quick to get us our drinks and the food we ordered was delicious and presented in a timely manner. I got a tavern chicken, which was a grilled chicken breast served on a toasted bun with all the fixings.. My wife orderd the prime rib stack and hers was honestly delicious. I had to stop myself from grabbing hers and selfishly eating it all. Anyways, the place was busy because of the live band we were there to see.. However, they still managed to take care of all of demands in a timely basis. The band was awesome and the drinks were cold and delivered promptly.. We will definitely be back.

We recently hosted a 60th birthday/retirement party for my husband at Screw City Tavern. The food was amazing -pulled pork sliders, Italian beef sliders, toasted ravioli, meatballs, boneless chicken wings and the best brisket Mac we have had! Steve and his crew (big thank you to Angela) helped to make this a wonderful experience. We had a very large separate room with our own bar/bartender and even spilled out into the larger bar area, with so many people. All of our friends and family raved about the food and venue. We have also eaten here several times and always had great service and food. We HIGHLY recommend Screw City Tavern for parties/celebrations and a great meal. Soon we will be trying their weekend brunch, as we have heard good things about that too. Thanks Steve!

Great place, great food, fast and nice service and the place was clean. Couldn’t ask for a better experience in a Rockford bar. The menu is awesome and has some dishes that you normally don’t see on a bar menu. Highly recommend the grain bowls, mac and cheese and the wings!! I usually don’t come back to edit reviews, but about a year later, I’m going to acknowledge that while I know finding help is difficult for everyone across the board, things have slipped a bit here. Service has always been friendly, and I don’t have ANY issue with the ladies that work with the customers. Food still usually comes up quickly as well.
