I was up in Austin for a few days and looking for a place to get wings that weren’t the typical few spots. Found them while searching google and man did I enjoy my experience at The Potluck. First impressions matter and the young lady working the window was super friendly and personable. She offered me a sample from the start which helped me figure out what to get. The wings were cooked perfectly and are a great size along with them being seasoned to perfection. I normally hate breaded wings but The Potluck made me reconsider that stance. I really enjoyed the food and will be returning when I’m next in Austin again.

Best wings in town. HONESTLY. I will be going back here again and again, and will be bringing people along. Best flavor in a wing that I’ve tried in Austin. Cannot beat the service either. The guy was really nice and everything came out nice and hot.

Maybe I caught them on a bad day? They were out of most items, the fries were cold & tasted old. I’m from Atlanta. Baby, we DO wings. ATX has been underwhelming when it comes to wings….and Jamaican food but that rant is for another day. We really wanted to like this place as their social media depicts fresh, tasty wings. (IG is where my husband found them.) We were looking forward to getting wings from here. I went ahead of my husband and was disappointed. Our search continues.

Service was good and food was made in a timely manner. Chicken wings were super good. But I only gave only four stars because I also ordered the “shrimp étouffée” and it was like some weird runny bottom of the barrel left over gumbo of some sort? ♂️ I’m from Louisiana and this is far from étouffée. Most definitely not worth the price either for that dish. So I think I’ll just stick to the wings next time from here on out….

Seriously! You have to try these wings! They are probably the best wings in Austin! So delicious, the rubs are incredibly savory, the wings are huge and have an amazing crispy crust, The fries were so yummy, and the red beans and rice were stick to the ribs delicious!

Best wings in Austin hands up!!!! 30 minutes after being cooked both the wings and the fries remained crispy!! Even in their take out containers, stayed crispy!! Fabulous taste, very delicious, excellent service!!! Like, run, don’t miss out on these!!!!
