This was my first time, and it certainly will not be my last. This is a fantastic eatery on the east side that is definitely a hidden gem. The service was spectacular. . . From the greeter to our waitress. Just pure joy!!! The food was really good. Had I known the breakfast potatoes were not going to be seasoned, I would’ve chose the seasonal fruit which looked amazingly sweet. We had the Monte Christo and the classic breakfast with bacon, eggs, fruit and pancakes. The atmosphere was bright and airy. They had a constant flow of customers. I noticed that a lot of UBER EATS drivers were coming through. I think people are missing out on the experience of the restaurant. I will be back.

A good independent eatery in a bustling area of the east side. We had the Rueben, grilled cheese sandwich, feta and spinach omelette, French toast, and chocolate chip pancakes. All were good choices.

I wish I could give 4.5. I ordered the meat lover bowl and it was good, my only complain is that I didn’t think there was very much meat in it for being a meat bowl. It was flavorful, but I tried the pancakes and I regret not ordering them instead. The atmosphere inside is very cute and modern. The staff was very helpful and overall I would come back again, but maybe order pancakes next time.

Just as soon as we walked in, the staff had no smile on their faces whatsoever. The manager lady was arrogant and again didn’t smile once. There was a waiter walking around like he owned the place and the vibe was just not pleasant. Our waitress was ok. The food was ok. Omelette was good and would give it a 7/10. French toast was dry and would give it a 4/10. Just another breakfast place.

I’m in between a 3 and 4. None of the items were seasoned properly. Tasted bland. Otherwise, liked the presentation and portions. Loved their pancakes. We couldn’t order their most popular chicken waffle as they ran out of it. I think we might come again to try it. The servers were nice and the whole atmosphere of the place is just welcoming.

Absolutely LOVED our brunch here yesterday. Wonderful friendly, welcoming and super efficient service. Huge selection of great brunch choices, so many it’s hard to choose. Only criticism is that the eggs ( both on Benedict and in quesadilla) are a little lacking in flavor.The Benedict with addition if mushrooms is delicious.The quesadilla while beautifully presented and generously sized was a little dry and a bit bland. Absolutely would go back though and 4.5 stars and nearly a 5 from me.

Canela delivers on all aspects of a high quality, casual dining experience. Thrown in great tasting coffee, chic atmosphere and attentive service and you have a winning combination. Food presentations are excellent which makes Canela stand out from the crowd….so plan on having a second cup or maybe even a mimosa….both will start your day off with a smile.

If we could give this place a 10 star review, we would. Cannot emphasize enough how incredible this restaurant is. Super clean! Service was impeccable, we are from out of town and felt like we were treated like family. The food and drinks were exceptional, any expectation you have was super exceeded! The kitchen staff really know what they are doing, to the point we felt we needed to tip them as well. We loved this place so much we repeated our visit the next day and still had our expectations exceeded, which is incredibly rare in this day and age of restaurants. We never write reviews because we so rarely have anything nice to say, in this case we can not say enough good things! The only unfortunate thing is that this restaurant is 5 states away from us or else we would without a doubt be regulars! Keep exceeding the standards and providing such a quality restaurant experience to us foodies out here! Thank you for everything! We love Jessica!

Wow! This is a top recommended place! The service was amazing. The food was mouthwatering with a portion big enough to feed 2! I had to take half home. The restaurant is very clean. If you haven’t tried Canela yet what are you waiting for?
