Really wanted to like but sadly not the case. First dish was stuff olives edible but super salty and heavy. Most disappointing was flavors were not french more Middle Eastern Mediterranean. Second the mac n cheese was quite good the pasta was cook perfectly and the cheese used was pair well but the roux used in the cheese sauce was not throughly blended till smooth. Lastly the game bird pate definitely not pate more of a head cheese it’s not spreadable and is dense. However, flavor profiles were there the interesting blends of meat and plum added to the mustard and pickled veggies pair with flat bread and toast.

Great little place for a good drink and good food. I forget our waiters name, but he had blond hair and gave us a great fun Saturday date night experience. Octopus salad was excellent and the stout on tap was delicious. Thank you.

Wonderful lunch. The fried chicken breast with the heirloom salad was fabulous, chicken just the right temperature and the salad dressing was to die for! The apple crisp with the vanilla bean ice cream was, again, served at the correct temperature, not so hot the ice cream melts everywhere, and boy was it delicious. We will be returning very soon!

One of our favorite places in Petaluma. An outstanding, well-curated wine list–many by the glass–, plus inventive, genuinely sourced, tasty food from Chef. The portions are measured, as noted elsewhere, but we never leave hungry. Friendly owners and staff, and dogs can sit with us at outdoors. We wish we had a place like this in Sonoma.

After Le Bistro restaurant on south Petaluma blvd sadly closed it was good to hear about a French restaurant. Everything in Petaluma is mostly Italian or Mexican except for Quinua Peruvian cuisine so French sounded fantastic The food at Crocodile is good except for their French fries which are dry and not very good. Come on guys even though they are from belgium it is called FRENCH fries. An effort please. Otherwise I recommend the restaurant. The name is odd and the decor far from French more cafeteria.
