Food (1star)- Ordered a Shrimp Fajita and only good thing was shrimp. Fries had an aftertaste which was weird. Aunts chicken was chewy.

everytime we asked if we could get something, they said they didn’t have it. not to include, that my mother couldn’t get the meal she asked because they “ran out of it,” and was served chicken which felt rubbery and chewy. my cousin got shrimp fajita which is served with tortillas. she got her tortillas minutes after she was served the shrimp and sides (at that point she didn’t want to use it). it’s crowded too.

Visited El Fogon on July 15th and had a delightful experience! The Bandeja Paisa was fantastic, and the fried fish was tasty. Coffee was excellent too! Friendly staff and cozy ambiance.

I rarely leave reviews but when I do it’s because the food is out of this world delicious. I ordered Sopa de gallina (hen soup) and calentado campesino con heuvos fritos ( steak, eggs,) first of all the soup is savory, flavorful with a thin broth. The steak is very thin and it’s grilled, rice and beans were seasoned to perfection and it came with eggs, plantain and a corn cake. The portion is very big. This is my new favorite place!

Since my review doesn’t seem to be posted and everyone that has looked for it can’t find it, here I am editing this to google standards smh. I dont usually leave review but I have to with this place. Never in my 34 years living have I had such a bad experience in a restaurant like the one I had at this place. I never would have thought I would experience something like this because it almost seems like it can’t be true but it is. So I ordered the Calentado El Fogon with chicken as my meat of choice and for starters took very long to come out. As I was actually enjoying this dish, I lifted the chicken which was laid on top of the rice and to my shock and disgust was a dead fly under it . I should have left after that but changed it for the Colombian Hotdog which was a sad waste. On top of that an 18% tip charge was automatically added to the bill after that horrible experience I had at this place. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THE BAD SERVICE, LONG WAIT TIMES, QUESTIONABLE HANDLING OF FOOD, AND SNEAKY CHARGES ADDED. People if you still decide to try it. Check the prices and check the bill because this place is just bad news. It’s a shame because some things were actually good so it’s sad they couldn’t own up to that and still had the nerve to charge me what they did.

I was there with my family looking for some good Colombian food. We were completely disappointed both with service and food. The food took more than 40 mins, restaurant was basically empty. We ordered a grilled chicken breast for 8yr old daughter. They brought it out way before the rest of the food. There was a green sauce spread over the chicken and the chicken tasted like pure charcoal. My daughter took one bite and no one else would eat it not even me after trying it. My husband and I ordered the caldo de res & caldo de gallina. Once again our meet was served with some sweet vegetable sauce over it that we were not warned about. The chicken looked raw and was ice cold, they literally took it out of the fridge/freezer and placed it on a plate. Now what bothered me the most was that I let the server know, she left for 10pm so came back and said that all she could do was reheat it since we already took a bite out of it. I almost fell out of my chair. I told her I was not asking for a refund nor did I want to eat it. It was frozen and it ruined our meal. She said well that’s your opinion. I said it’s not an opinion, it’s a fact, would you like to touch it? She was extremely rude and walked away. Later a very nice young man came by and ask if we were ok, we advised him of what took place and asked for the check. After selling them a payment(I didn’t like this, they charge 4% for using a card) he came and said I felt the chicken, you were right I was going to take it off the bill. We told them there was no need just make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. We spent $60 and no one was happy with their food. Extremely disappointed, needless to say we will not be returning.

Food is amazing. However the services needs some improvement. They are usually 3 ladies helping clients but one of them need to be more nice. Unfortunately last time that I’ll visit this place. The services is not good + 4% extra if you pay with credit card.

This place was entirely out of stuff. For example I asked for a Tamarindo drink and they didn’t have it. Also they had bad chicken served in my aunts plate. Raw, not cooked, chewy. Fries were dry. Curly. That’s all I got to say.
