First time trying an African restaurant. The complexity of the ingredients were very interesting and delicious in the best way possible. Every mouth full was a different experience. For example, I tried the Goat Egusi Fufu, and the ratios of sauce/ meat and Fufu changed in every bite. The food was comforting simultaneously unexpected. The ingredients in the sauce were very hard to pinpoint since my pallet had never been exposed to this kind of cultural food. The goat meat was tender and flavorful (not being a goat eater). As a person who is always on the go, I recommend trying it out at least to say that you have tried African food and being the best. Think about it. Most of us will eat a burger or pizza and never think twice about trying something different, but remember you only live once. You can talk about this experience to friends and family, and many people won’t ever have the chance to try it since restaurants like this are hidden jems that get overlooked.

The food was fresh and delicious. I was just disappointed because I was expecting some unusual flavors. Everything had a tomato base except the okra soup. Everything was delicious but the food did not taste authentic or different from any of the American foods. I was glad that the pepper sauce was available on the side. I would go back but I would have really liked to have tasted the true African cuisine. I ordered the goat stew and the jollof rice. My grandson ordered the fried goat, plain rice and okra soup.

I called in my order. I got the jollof rice with the grilled tilapia. I really wanted to like this place but it was highly disappointing! The fish was nice and moist but it lack flavor I had to use a lot of hot sauce to bring it back to life. The sauce that came with the fish taste like fish oil I couldn’t use it. There is absolutely no way that jollof rice was made today it tastes like they made it on Friday and today is Sunday it was incredible dry and also lack flavor. I expect African food to have a kick with lots of spiciness it didn’t give me any of that. I don’t even need to talk about the salad just look at the picture I didn’t eat that either. I gave it a extra star because the customer service but sadly I will not be returning. The meal cost 20.99

Good food but the service could be better. Maybe it was just the time we were there or they were short with people to help, but the level of service we got was a bit subpar. The server even forgot to place one of the orders for our party. I do agree with other reviewers that the people are friendly though. If you don’t care about service and just want to get some good African food, i would recommend this place.

The food had no taste, lots of chill, good customer service though. They need to do better with their food. Meat was very hard to chewed. Tasteless meals and waste of money. The Kelewele was burnt with no taste. I had the worst stomach ache I ever had in my life.

Great customer service great food great environment. If I’m the area stop by and give them a try. I went with my wife and she loved the lemon pepper wings. The egusi, fufu, and Jollof rice was excellent. I’ll most definitely be eating here again. 5stars!!!!
