I was stuck before the border because my ACI MANIFEST wasn’t clear,and with heavy heart I decided to stop here….Surprisingly the have excellent food, I didn’t expect that. They offer very good soup and fresh meat. The place has many TV’s on the wall to keep you entertained and I enjoy it. Wide choices of breakfast and the sirloin steak was super tender! Place is dingy, dirty looking. Duct tape booths seats. Ordered a Western Burger, said it was a good choice, boy was I wrong. Got my meal and and the fries were burnt and cold. Started eating my burger and tasted nothing but charcoal. Bacon was burnt to a crisp, burger charbroil burnt. Could not eat it. I’m not a fussy person but this was the most disgusting meal I have ever had and they still had the gull to charge me full price for it. I do not recommend this place to no one. Just awful.

I just finished cooking my own biscuits and gravy in less than 51 minutes. Unlike the the restaurant. My girl friend and I went to eat there and we were the only 2 that ordered from the kitchen. 51 minutes later.. My biscuits and gravy arrived. If you like gravy that runs a 5 minute mile than you came to the right place. If you like bacon, hash browns burnt to non perfection come on down to the CLARK FAMILY RESTAURANT.

This may have been the worst breakfast I have ever paid for. Over cooked eggs, chewy chicken fried steak, and rubbery hash browns. The service was no better. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant and the server never once checked to see how we were doing. I had to take our coffee mugs up to the bar and ask her for refills. It’s honestly hard to find anything good to say about the experience.

Sadly this used to be a wonderful place to eat. Had a very long wait for food to come out and then my plate was not as I ordered. Was asked if I wanted them to redo the order. I am diabetic and needed to eat. I couldn’t wait another 30 or 40 minutes for them to bring me the correct order. Much less the fact that I desired to eat at the same time as my wife.

I wish I had a lot of good things to say about this place but sadly I don’t. We were fortunate to have a table saved for us but we waited a good 10-15 mins before someone brought us menus and asked what we wanted for drinks. Once our drinks were brought out our orders were taken and we waited. It took almost two hours for our food to be brought out. TWO HOURS!! They didn’t seem to have much help but two hours just seemed unreal, even another couple ended up walking out. We had all finished our drinks before our food arrived. I had to flag down the waitress for refills and when she brought out cups back she just put them down with no bother as to whose cup was whose. I knew I ended up with my youngest’s drink because her straw was chewed. The waitress was new so she didn’t explain that if we ordered a side soup or salad that we could just go help ourselves. My husband had to ask another customer how that worked. Food was average, definitely not worth the price. Not sure we would go there again and would definitely not recommend.

Waited two hours for western burger, Swiss burger and fries. Western burger was drowned is bbq way to messy to eat. Both sides of fries were overcooked/stale and cold. Waitress (was new) but service was terrible. Menu way over price for quality. I personally DO NOT recommend!

Owners should never have decided to buy this business then open it under Clark’s Family Restaurant. It took over an hour and a half to get our food. It took them more than twenty minutes just to come, bring water and get our order. Terrible. Don’t recommend. This restaurant does not represent the good people of Shelby, Montana. The town deserves so much better. There are no excuses.

Ridiculously slow service. I mostly blame the cook. However, our waitress needs more training. Food ok but ran out of the two items my husband wanted. Took more than an hour. Very frustrating as we just got through US customs and had more driving to do. Salad bar was completely empty of salad. One group of patrons walked out in disgust. Off evening perhaps, but don’t risk wasting your time here if traveling.

National Parks or Bust
The wait staff was good. Their flat top grill was broken at the time so all they had to eat was biscuits and gravy. Luckily that was in my wheel house. Unfortunately what I received after waiting 20 minutes was very watered down gravy that was cold and looked similar to coagulated milk with bits of meat. After eating some of it I felt very nauseous and noticed that the biscuits were extremely soggy even though I was told it took so long to get my food because they were fresh. Might have been an off day but was later told by the wait staff she discovered that the gravy wasn’t fully mixed and she was glad I mentioned it so others didn’t have the same issue. I was literally the only person in the restaurant and casino. I wouldn’t recommend this place. There has to be a better one in the town. If not keep going to the next town.
