My husband & I spent 4 days in the Waldorf Celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary it was amazing. On our 25th Wedding Anniversary we had our Anniversary Meal in the Bull & Bear Resturant.

As the B&B is currently closed, unfortunately I will miss not being able to experience the space on our upcoming trip to NYC. The Bull & Bear is a magnificent bar with exceptional service, food and drinks. Over the years I have been treated like a local, treated like family, always appreciated for dining with them and most of all, ALWAYS felt comfortable!

Extremely high expectations were met with magnificent food, wine and service. One of the most pleasant, delicious and special dining experiences I have ever had. Not… exactly for the budget-minded, but not entirely outrageous either. And once your food arrives, the whole experience feels like a bargain. If you’re looking for a special night out with someone you care about, head to the Waldorf.

The food was so delicious, I even snuck it in my carry-on when I was going home that night! Delicious food, I got the Lobster, Mashed Potatoes, and the Lobster Mac &Cheese, all the servers were very nice, felt very exclusive. Next time I go I’ll be requesting a seat by the wall, there’s a short second level and they sat an annoying group of men right above where I was sitting about 15 before I left. But all in all very nice experience

Sat at the bar. Very rude bartender. We asked for an Avation cocktail(which isn’t uncommon) and got a gin and tonic. It’s fine my date drank the gin and tonic, no problem. Then we asked for a dinner menu and got an abbreviated version with only appetizers and dessert. The couple next to us asked about 2 minutes later and got the full menu. I guess we looked to poor to actually eat there, but my money is as green as anyone else’s. I will never go back.

After a long day of touring this was kind of a last resort. We should have gone to bed hungry. First they didn’t want to seat us. Maitra d (Yes I know the word and what it means) was rude even when I told him we were hotel guests (two room). Then we ate from a poor menu of overpriced food that was only marginal. $10.00 for a bee is high even by NYC standards. On top of that they added 18% gratuity to a party of two. What an insult! Judging that I wouldn’t leave a tip just showed how little they know. Would have left more because of manners. Will NEVER go back. STAY AWAY!

The bar was busy but the restaurant slow as we sat down. Service was slow and the decor seemed tired. Our NY strips were just a bit over done and our sides were a bit greasy.

Had the oysters, lobster, and filet mignon. Oysters were good but waiter didn’t introduce the different kinds given by the chef, which is usually expected in restaurants like this. Lobster and steak were bland and both overcooked (though table behind us had severely undercooked food). The ingredients seem good, but something clearly went wrong in the cooking process. Service was average. Overall super disappointed; it’s a steakhouse and the steak was my least favourite part of my meal. Won’t be coming back.

My party of 4 was very disappointed. NY is full of great steakhouses, we went to the Bull And Bear Prime Steakhouse for the service and we definitely didn’t get it. Food with no drinks, bad glass of wine, and a waiter who seemed to preoccupied and had no desire to be our server, The place wasn’t that busy either.
