WOW! WOW! WOW! This is certainly up there in the you have to eat here in your lifetime kind of restaurants. The décor and atmosphere that has been created are impeccable. The food is both delicious and beautiful. It was truly the best steak I have ever eaten. The menu is eclectic and just what foodies are looking for. The chefs have hit it out of the park on this new adventure.

There is not a more beautiful dining experience in Lexington. Everything from the details in the design, to the service, to the menu, to the food was thoughtfully and flawlessly executed. The food makes the familiar new and takes you outside of your comfort zone with soon to be crave worthy favorites. The stunning presentation and the unique use of ingredients makes this a place to impress. The cocktail menu is bold and delicious offering an “out with the old and in with the new” experience. The Granddam offers so much more than any place in Lexington has to offer.

My mother and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our server, Chris, was knowledgeable and attentive. The Negroni-like cocktail was perfect. We shared four plates. The chef came by and chatted with us—lovely gentleman—and also recommended the banana pudding. I’ve never been a fan of banana pudding but took his recommendation and it was, as promised, absolutely delicious. Ambience is warm and comfortable, upscale but not pretentious or overdone. Dishes in photos below include beet salad, foraged mushrooms cooked over a wood fire, and the trout. All perfection.

We ate here for breakfast today and really loved it. The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice. It’s great to see a place like this open in Lexington. Has the luxury feel of a boutique hotel you would see in a larger city. Our family really enjoyed all of our breakfast dishes. We tried the Dutch baby and the omelet and the traditional breakfast. They were all excellent and we will be going back again.

Food was good, service ok, prices were very high for breakfast/brunch. I ordered the cheapest thing on the menu and the bill was still $50 with tip, without any drinks. You could easily spend 60+ here for breakfast.

Highly recommend the Granddam at the Manchester Hotel! I hosted a surprise birthday party for my wife here and the experience was incredible. The wait staff (Christian and Kimberly) were extremely attentive and accommodating of our party of 15 that included three small children.

Yesterday we celebrated my best friend’s daughter by holding a bridal lunch at the Granddam. Wonderful experience! I spoke with Taylor the week before about wanting to add a few special touches and she was very accommodating with my requests. Our server Dalton was very friendly and attentive. He really engaged with the guest and made us feel welcomed, we all enjoyed ourselves. And I can’t forget the food…so delicious! Everyone loved their lunch and sweet treats. The hotel and restaurant decor is beautiful, can’t wait to come back and visit again.

Beautiful new restaurant in Lexington but the owners should be aware that spending all that money and having rude management will not get repeat customers. Three of went and pulled into to the empty parking lot into one of the 3 handicapped spaces. I have 2 new hips, my friend had 2 knee surgeries and upcoming back surgery. We were told by the lonely valet guy (who was very nice) that it would be $6.50 to park in the empty lot for lunch. ($11 Friday to Sunday). There is NO street parking anywhere near it and a paid lot across the street that you pay with your phone. We needed handicapped so we paid. The waitress who was lovely told us we could check out the upstairs bar and outdoor area after we ate, just to ask at the desk. We had the special which was Peach Chicken and mashed potatoes. It was good. Afterwards we asked to go see the upstairs (3 people behind the desk couldn’t be bothered to take us). They said we had to wait until the bar opened at 4. It was 2. I thought of all the money the owners spent putting this place together should be aware that their employees were in my opinion very RUDE to 3 women in their 60s that dine out regularly and went out of our way to come downtown for lunch and wanted to view the place. My other 2 friends had been there for dinner and seen it. I had not. On another note, we ate at The Brown Hotel in Louisville yesterday, no reservation, just pulled into the Valet and asked if we needed a reservation to take our grandson for a Hot Brown. No reservation needed. Also NO charge for valet. They parked the car in one of the empty spots and brought it back and got a $5 tip. I hope The Manchester gets better management as you can tell the owners want this place to succeed, treating 3 Lexington natives rudely is not a good place to start.
