We’d wanted to go to this place for quite a while, as everyone in town raves about it, but I was highly disappointed. The food was bland, and had no kick to it whatsoever. The menu was the most americanized version of Mexican that I’d ever seen. The salsas tasted more like Italian pasta sauce than anything else. On a positive note, the service was outstanding, very friendly and prompt. Oh yes, and the margarita I had was amazing. I forget what it was called but it had brandy in it. Weird, but good.

We have been dining at Los Amigos for years! The food is delicious and the service is friendly and quick. There is a nice outdoor space if you want fresh air. If you eat gluten free they offer corn alternatives, if they can substitute they will!

Service was ok. Not much energy in the staff when we were there. Decor was disjointed. Food was ok. My husband enjoyed his fajitas, I had the Fiesta bowl with beef tips, it was meh.

My first time trying Los Amigos was last night. Unlike most of the reviews, I found the food to be bland. More mexican spices were needed. Their tomato sauce on the enchiladas was not a red enchilda sauce at all but rather an italian tomato sauce. WHY????? The tomatillo sauce was good but could use more spice and flavor. Salsa was so thin and watery it was difficult to get any on the tortilla chips. A shame because the chips were very good. There was no heat at all in the salsa – don’t skimp on the spices. Mexican food is famous for its unique flavors please start loading up your dishes with these flavors. Take out was packaged well, people who assisted in pick up and checkout were very nice. I moved here from Austin Texas and had great hope Los Amigos would provide the outstanding Tex-Mex I was craving. My search for great Mexican food in Waynesville area continues.
