Our favorite quick pickup place. The country ham sandwiches are a regular for us. We also frequently pickup the pimento cheese and the ham biscuits. Actually, there isn’t anything we haven’t tried and liked. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

If you need a good pulled pork barbecue sandwich, and you’re in Portsmouth, you can’t go wrong with Rodman’s. Although the place doesn’t look like much from the outside, the inside is clean and comfortable, friendly and attentive staff, and great food for reasonable prices.

First time here, we got the BBQ lunch combo. Good amount of food for the money! Not sure what others are talking about,definitely left full and then some! Wish there was more BBQ sauce to add if needed but maybe you had to ask or we missed it? Price was great for today’s eating out! We could’nt eat in because not enough seating so a couple more tables would be good, but we’ll be back.

The prices are OUTRAGEOUS. The portions are TINY. If you are hungry and on a budget, don’t go here. If you like BBQ and don’t care how much you pay, go for it. $5.00 for a dip cup of potato salad is ridiculous.

Food is good but small portions, and price is not cheap. It’s a small business with tables and chairs for eating in. I recommend the food but not the price. And you can’t get a dinner plate unless you have 25 orders or more.

Catering was Top Notch! Their food is superb, but what was most impressive was their cooler system worked perfect to keep hot foods hot & cold foods cold, even for my 3-hour long picnic!

Rodman’s catered for our group of 55 folks and oh how happy all were with their famous BBQ and brisket and the fantastic fried chicken. Needless to say we had the terrific coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, corn muffins and rolls as well. Not a person left our July 4th outing without having plenty to eat. Delicious, delicious, delicious were the comments received for days and days. Thank you Barry…we will be back!!!
