Wonderful new find. Honduran food served in a home style environment. The food tasted fresh and was cooked to order. The flavors were incredible! Different from other central and South America restaurants I have sampled. I plan on returning.

Listen first off the food was more than good it was comforting after hard day’s work but I accidentally left my bank card and not only did the wonderful woman working save it she waited in me to drive back 45 minutes away after hours to meet me so kind so honest and so classy if she is a reflection of the whole restaurant than I promise you will love this place enjoy!!!

Authentic Honduran restaurant. Very casual and small. Spanish television on with soccer games. Friendly service. Huge portions!!! If you want tamales, go early. They sell out.

Ok, I have been in STL for more than three years. I was born and raised in Honduras. Prior to visiting this restaurant I had been in another Honduran restaurant and I was very disappointed; food and ambience. Well, Merendero Las Catrachitas took me back in time to my early years of my life back in Honduras. The food was very delicious and fresh. The ambience was welcoming. I had the Carne azada and it was great. If you don’t know much about Honduran food know this; it is not Mexican, Puerto Rican or Dominican food. It is not spicy but it is very tasty.

Popped in to see about getting a to go menu since we weren’t sure what Honduran food was. Lady at the counter was so busy playing / texting on her phone she didn’t even notice someone standing there. A man walked out of the back doing the same. Finally acknowledged, inquired, and was told to look at the website.

The food was amazing!! But it took a little longer than I expected. I recommend calling before you arrive to help speed up the process. The restaurant itself was pretty small; it almost felt like you were somewhere else.

This is a small place but owners and servers are very nice and courteous. This place is a great place for some Honduran food. Give it a try.
