I am hooked! There are many places to eat, but this gem of Argentine, an area in Kansas City, Kansas, Pepe’s Carnitas is the equivalent to rockstar status. No lie! This well run and great customer service restaurant is usually with a line forming early before opening that day! With many different Mexican cuisine items, you have to hustle to be courteous of those behind you being mindful of others wanting the same great food. I ordered the Tamale de carnitas. Yes, I order 2. One for now and one for later. Lol. They are that good! Pepe’s Carnitas was introduced to me by a great man I worked with a couple of years back. I had a hangover and was miserable one Saturday morning and was given this warm, soft, foil wrapped goodness with the aroma that filled the air and like a cartoon character, I was entranced as it hit my senses and savored every bite. Don’t know if it cured my hangover, but I knew I WANTED another. Check it out! You can’t go wrong here. Come early or come ready for a short wait that is definitely worth the wait.
