Very delicious udon. The broths were so complex tasting. You can taste the skill and pride in cooking. The pork belly and fried chicken were excellent. Very friendly service , big portions, fresh ingredients.yuzu lemonade very good! We will be back! Happy tummies yes!

We love going to Udonnomi, a restaurant located in downtown Elgin, with good and fun decor. Our 4-year-old loves their fresh, homemade, crispy chicken with rice, and sometimes she switches to udon or ramen noodles too. We always start with an appetizer dish like lava takoyaki, which is octopus topped with masako and seaweed or Ebi lava don. For the main course, there are plenty of selections of broth and noodles. Recently, I tried the Polo Udon, which is a delicious combination of Thai broth and Japanese noodles. Another recommended dish is the chashu fried rice.

Honestly if you want something local that will satisfy all your needs this is the place, fast service my food came out in about 10-15 minutes, the server was very attentive and respectful, especially with my conversations knowing not to interrupt

This was the second time eating there. The first time was good…food and service. We tried it again on Saturday and it was horrible. The waiter (Cesar) was so rude that we were stunned. He got our order wrong and tried to blame us for it. He literally stopped coming back to our table so we had to get up and ask for containers and our check. The food was not that great this time either. The pork belly fried rice was gummy and had no flavor. The other dishes lacked flavor also. We spent $100 and will never go back again.

One of the best places to eat in the elgin downtown area!! The service was so great! And the food was ready fast. I’ve been to a few Japanese restaurants and this is now one of my favorite places. We got the fried chicken small plate, beef upon and chicken bento box. 10/10 experience if you like Japanese cuisine specifically upon and ramen this is a must place to try out!!!

I have been a long time customer now, so believe me when I say, Udon Nomi is a MUST when coming through Elgin. The food here is beyond flavorful and will leave you wanting to come back each week as I do. I love this place and would give it 10 stars if I could!
