Bar Juillet is the second restaurant from the Hither team, Corrie and Wesley Reimer. With everything you could’ve dreamt up for a seasonal driven neighborhood restaurant. Bar Juillet offers a ‘let’s order it all for the table’ kind of place.
The wine list focuses on natural wine with the intention of bringing quality over notoriety. The bar program reimagines classics, allowing for stellar ingredients without overdoing it.
We serve our full dinner menu from 5pm to 9pm. From 4pm to 5pm and 9pm to 11pm we offer our Happy Hour, Drinking Hour Menu.

Such a nice evening at this Ashland restaurant. Four of us ordered five small plates to share. The crunchy pea salad with mint was delightful as was the spicy fennel pasta. The Burrata with rhubarb and raspberry drizzled with olive oil and served with pieces of toasted focaccia was extraordinary. Mushrooms and whipped ricotta tartine- yum! The beans with asparagus and a poached egg wasn’t so flavorful and the beans were al dente. It was, however, warming on a cold evening. If you prefer beans cooked through, pass on this dish.

Lovely!! Food was incredible – everything tasted so good, even better than it looks if that’s possible. Food presentation was on point. We definitely over-ordered for 2, but we weren’t going to turn down leftovers! They have an expansive bottle list (few glass options though), and an amazing cocktail program. I ordered the rum & rye raisin cocktail and it tasted refreshingly fall, apple cinnamon with a rosemary twist. The fried chicken was our favorite, along with THEE salad, full of summer fruit, nut, and seeds – a unique combo that we couldn’t stop eating. All the wait staff were super friendly, the ambience was just the right balance between quiet romantic and a bustling social scene. Highly recommend and would absolutely come back for another delicious dinner!

What to do in Southern Oregon
What a beautiful bar, the owners of Hither have created. They encourage family style dining so we enjoyed quite a variety from the menu. The service is outstanding, making sure every moment is enjoyable. The food was so delicious and well seasoned made with farm fresh ingredients and a menu that will be changing regularly. The cocktails are crafted with care and beautiful as well. We will definitely be back and have found a new favorite to add to our date nights!

We were there in early October. It was nice, but not exceptional. We had to ask for silverware and napkins and some side plates so we could eat our appetizer. I also had to ask for a napkin to put my olive pits on when given my drink. The mozzarella was very fresh, but rather overwhelmed by the olive oil and pesto. Figs were lovely.

The duck was fantastic, among the best I’ve had. The shallot date jam was perfect. The squash (delicata) was mediocre and under flavored. Paired it with base of other dishes. A server mentioned there was a new cook working at a nearby table where some food came out wrong – may be a one off. Worth checking out but some dishes seem overpriced.

Josh makes the BEST cocktails to be found within 200 miles, I was sad to see the Tequila popsicles didn’t stay on the menu but I know his next concoction will also be 10/10. The french fries are perfect if you like shoestring fries but we’re usually just there for a single delicious cocktail on date night.

Bar Juillet – such a fabulous place every time we’ve come since it opened. Service, food, drinks are excellent. The fried chicken (you may have tried at their sister location Hither) is the best in town. Menu is seasonal. Wes went over the top with the pork schnitzel in July. Corrie’s wine list is pretty special, she now has sparkling wine on tap. Cocktails are also fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.
