Here at Maman Joon, our philosophy is simple – food should be authentic, well-crafted, and delicious. We practice this in everything we create, from our homemade yogurts to our fresh-baked breads.
As for the restaurant’s name, the word Maman means “mom and the word Joon means “soul, spirit of life. Used in a modern day to mean “dear, as a gesture of close kinship and hospitality.
So all together Maman Joon, means DEAR MOM!
Food is the language through which mom best knows how to express herself. Maman Joon is a place for family and friends to come together. You’re welcome to meet us there.
Mom’s food, Made with love!

A fast food Persian/American restaurant. I took advantage of the Friday Special Lamb Shank ($18.99). I thought the Roasted Beets ($5.00) were an included side, otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered them. My friend got the Chicken Kabob ($14.99) which was delicious and what I would order if I ever went back. We both got the Homemade Dough ($2.75) to drink. Because we were eating here for the first time, we were given complementary Baklava and Shole Zard for dessert. Also available are kosher hotdogs, burgers, milkshakes and lots of other comfort food choices.

While passing by Maman Joon Kitchen, I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to give them a try. Maman Joon Kitchen shares its premises with Z Burger, and both eateries are owned by an Iranian family. Parking at the front is not available, and you need to park at the rear of the building.

Okay, let me start with the fact that the people who work here and own the business are amazing, kind, & incredibly polite to every customer. And my review has absolutely nothing to do with their customer service. I love these people, but that’s only one factor. I’m personally obsessed with Persian food especially since both of my parents are Persian and this is a pure honest review.

Yesterday for my iftaar I thought to have some wrap from this newly opened food place as it was near my workplace. I was highly disappointed by the way they packed my chicken wrap. I was driving back home for 1 hr and 30 minutes but the whole time I kept struggling to take it out of the box. I’m attaching the photos for showing their art of making a wrap. And it didn’t even have salt in it no sauce at all. And salad leaves were just popping out all around. Before collecting I checked with them if they added sauce in it and they said yes we added already. They’re newly open business so I give them 2 star just for that but I was highly disappointed with their serving for take out orders. It went to trash. A complete waste.

So good. Favorite kabob place in NOVA so far! Had a family platter for my crew, and it exceeded all expectations. Side dishes were delicious. Hummus was the best. We had left overs too. Service was also great for a fast casual place. Highly recommended.

Tried their food once very very salty and their customer service sucks, not to say they have been very disrespectful and racist against several Afghan families because they perceive Afghans inferior than themselves (Yes it even continues to happen not only in Iran but in the US too).

We love to eat at maman joon! It’s a great place for some really delicious Persian kabobs! Usually with each kabob comes at a bunch of rice, grilled tomatoes and bread (always warm). I am a really big fan of their Chenjeh kabob, juicy and delicious. Also their baklava is the best thing to have for dessert. We’ve been to both locations in VA and the customer service is awesome, it feels like your eating a families house. I would definitely check them out
