Order oxtail with rice and peas and a small jerk chicken . I have been two different Jamaican restaurants and usually order oxtail but it seems like the oxtail that was made had more fat on it then actual oxtail meat. The rice and peas were okay the vegetables is okay and I did get plantain but I did not enjoy it. As far as the jerk chicken goes it was a little dry with some flavor. Maybe I will try again but I probably will not order the oxtail or jerk chicken.

So here I am writing another review this so happens to be the third Jamaican restaurant in the North Amityville area.. they’re all within 1 mile of each other. I don’t need to say the names because majority of you who are from the area know the names already so I’m taking the time to write about this one. What sets this particular establishment apart from the two others is the customer service experience. They all smile they all have pleasant attitudes they get the customer service experience right.. the dish that stands out to me now this is my preference is the fried chicken and the macaroni and cheese… now if you are familiar with macaroni and cheese it doesn’t matter who cooks it macaroni and cheese will never come out the same.. for right now though this place has been on point I will also recommend the shrimp.. now this is have many choices of Jamaican food so I would challenge you to give this place a try it’s great to have choices and not be in a monopolized position or to accept bad customer service.. now my last compliment will be about the space and this restaurant it’s wonderful is a place where you can meet and greet they play nice music and a clean restroom.. stay tuned for more pics to come

Please believe me when I say this is the best Jamaican restaurant in Amityville!! The Chef deserves a raise for cooking like the grandmas back in Jamaica !!! Highly highly recommend! Last thing I ordered was the St Peas and it was very authentic !! I’m really pleased about their consistency so far !

Nice atmospheres and people. Their coco bread and chicken and beef patty keep calling me back for more!!! Today I will try their curry dinner and review it…because I know it will be good. Their fried chicken is good also.

I visited This restaurant on a Friday afternoon. There are three different Jamaican restaurants in the area. I wasn’t impressed by the other two, so I was very excited to try this one. I am Jamaican and come from a long line of chefs and restaurant owners both on the island and in the US. I ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas and steamed cabbage. Pro: The customer service was very good. I loved the music that was playing when I entered the establishment. It definitely has good vibes. The fried chicken was absolutely delicious. Nice and crispy and juicy at the same time. I got chicken breast and it was not dry at all. The chicken was very well seasoned. The Con: Men smoking right outside the restaurant door as you walk in. The rice and peas smelled and tasted burnt and there was no taste of coconut milk. It lacked flavor. The cabbage was salty. Because the fried chicken was so good, I will try this place again and update my review when I do. I hope it’s better the second time around.
