This place was sooo good! I had their spicy lemon pepper wings, and my bf had the 2 hand, and the fries were big enough to share 1. Also, they’re decently priced. It’s not really a restaurant, but they do have a beautiful sit-down area with tables and cute hanging chairs.

Talk about a hole-in-the-wall! I couldn’t find them even with Google maps trying to guide me. This humble shack situated in the courtyard between the Acadamy Bank and an office building off of 19th Street, and hides one of the best burgers in Crossroads. They also boast the best chicken, which I’ve heard is excellent. I got their one handed burger, and it’s larger than what the name suggests. I also really enjoyed how thick the meat is. Their fries are extra, but there’s more than enough to share with a friend. The courtyard features standing tables and places sit for lunch, but depending on how busy it gets you can easily take it to go.

Temper your expectations. I am honestly unsure how this establishment is rated so high. Arrived at the location and only 4 people were in line ahead of me. Proceeded to wait 27 minutes before I was helped at the window. Placed my order, and found out that they do not accept contactless payments, and to add to insult, the cashier stated that they can accept cash, but can’t give you change. I mentioned that they should update the various platforms that state that they accept contactless payments and he simply dismissed it, and repeated, only physical card.

The burger was dry. Really dry. I love a smash burger. This was over cooked beef with arugula. Cheese couldn’t salvage the overcooked meat. Fries needed more time. Just slightly too soggy, and the curry flavored ketchup wasn’t anything decent. The guy who handed me my burger said have a nice day to the lady right before me and smiled at her, but when I was called up I was given a look like I had just walked into the kitchen demanding dinner. Said have a nice day to the dude, and ate my sub-par burger. So many praise this place. Don’t know why!

Hands down this has to be one of the best burgers I’ve had in my life. I picked up my dad from the airport and we decided to grab a quick bite here since a friend recommended it.

This is a tiny little place with entirely outdoor seating. It’s very comfortable area. The burgers have excellent flavor. They also don’t use iceberg lettuce on the burgers, but some kind of spring lettuce or something. Even the tomatoes had awesome flavor. The fries are a large portion and delicious- they aren’t over seasoned like a lot of other places. The burgers were greasy, but not in a bad way. We also didn’t have to wait long despite 5 orders being ahead of ours. This is definitely a place we would happily eat at again.

It was ok. I wouldn’t say their burger or spicy chicken was anything special. The spicy chicken was definitely not spicy, and the burger wasn’t super flavorful. The fries were only good because of the seasoning but I don’t feel like they put enough seasoning, and the seasoning tasted like “slap yo mama” spice mix. Definitely disappointed, but it wasn’t bad.

Excellent basic burger and french fries at Sauced! Possibly some of the best fries in KC. Burger was perfectly cooked and very tasty. This is an outdoor-only eatery hidden in between two buildings. Order food to enjoy at the nearby tables or to-go. Parking is street parking. Location is accessible from the South entrance. Service was friendly and quick. No restrooms, although the Roasterie nearby is likely to give you access to those inside that building.

Best hamburger I’ve had in 20 years! Very affordable and generous with the fries. Quality is obviously a priority with these gentlemen and I appreciate that. Rare find. Ranks with the Canteen in Ottumwa Iowa and the In And Out in L.A.
