The price was good, especially since you get around the same ramen at another restaurant for $5+. The tonkotsu was good, well salted, tender pork, creamy broth. Wished the spicy tonkotsu was a little spicier. They should give a little cup of spice like other places do, in my opinion. Vegan ramen was decent. Broth very coconuty and sweet, wished it had a little more flavor. We were not very happy about the service. Took a while to get someone at the table, and to pay as well. I understand it though because hiring is very bad right now so it’s not the workers who are bad it’s just too much to manage.

The ramen from here is good and the broth is really delicious. The appetizers on the other hand were mid. They tasted frozen and just not fresh.

The ramen, takoyaki, and karaage are all flavorful and delicious. It’s one of few places where the spicy broth is truly spicy. I have returned a number times and always enjoy the food. Great prices too.

We enjoyed lunch at Obu Ramen while driving through San Jose recently with our dog. Luckily, they have a shaded, outdoor patio that’s dog-friendly.

Monday night dinner. No wait. Decent prices for a bowl a ramen if you don’t add on stuff. $11.95.

I haven’t had takoyaki served in this manner, with fragrant green onions on a bed of potato puree. It was very good. I also ordered their Tonkotsu Ramen, which I didn’t take a picture of because I inhaled it.
