Sydney’s Restaurant in Bayou La Batre, AL, offers a delightful culinary experience. The southern fried chicken okish, and the flavors are somewhat ok as well. The cozy ambiance adds to the atmosphere, it’s definitely not the best place to eat fried chicken… but it will work

This place was horrible. I had chicken tenders and French fries and my husband had the burger. There was absolutely nothing good about this place. In the place of a biscuit that you might usually find at drive through chicken and seafood place, there was a store bought dinner roll sitting on top of the food. The chicken tasted funny and the fries were not cooked properly. The burger was gross. I have never given a place a 1 star rating before, so that’s definitely saying something. In such a small town with limited restaurant options, I’d think that this place would have been better. It’s like they don’t even really try to be good. This being our last meal of the day due to unforseen circumstances, it really stuck out because I couldn’t even eat it. It was that bad and it wasn’t cheap. It was over $40 for food that we threw away at the next gas station.
