What’s not to love about great sushi and Hibachi all in the same place. We always get the best customer service and try and sit at our usual table when it’s open. I usually order a roll of sushi and actually order the kids’ shrimp, which is the perfect amount of food for me, since I can’t decide between the two.

We love this small, local Japanese/Thai restaurant! The service and food is always wonderful, especially the Rice Mine roll, masaman curry and coconut soup. Of course, you can never go wrong with hibachi! Tara is typically our server and the attention that he gives our rowdy children makes all of our experience that much better. We got to meet one of the chefs, Wayan, who was super kind. It may not seem like much compared to the fancier cook in front of you places, but it’s a wonderful addition to the north river area that we frequent often! I am super picky about Thai food and was shocked at how good my favorite dishes are here.

This place is amazing! We literally just got done eating, I’m sitting in the parking lot leaving this review. Y’all have GOT to try this place, the food was top notch and the staff were extremely friendly and courteous, made sure everything was good and when I say that sushi is the best I’ve had in a long time I mean it! My husband got the steak and shrimp hibachi and it was better than Kobe to me! Love this place!

We came across Fujiyama while looking for my wife’s hair salon’s new location. So about a week later we decided to try their sushi for a late lunch one day. Good move on our part! As usual, Bonnie’s sushi was built around fried shrimp; mine had chopped tuna and was a bit spicy with jalapeno slices. We started out with the crab angels, aka crab Rangoon in some places. We will be going back for sure. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, and only one other couple came in while we were there, so we had really good service. If you get that level of service when the restaurant is busy, it’s easily 5-star. Thanks for a great introduction to Fujiyama!

LOVE the Panang Curry and the spicy noodle. The Crab Angels are the best I’ve ever had. The spring rolls and dumplings are also very good. Everything I’ve had from here has been great. I go just about every Friday. Hopefully they will soon offer soy paper or no paper for the sushi rolls because they look so delicious. And the staff are absolutely amazing. I’m always greeted with great smiles and service!

We came across this little restaurant while traveling through Tuscaloosa. We had the sushi for dinner with the crab angels (you could actually see and taste the crab) and pot stickers as appetizers. The sauces that came with the appetizers were delicious. We liked the food so much we ordered a whole new order of entrées and appetizers to take back to the campground. Before we left town, we went back for sushi and appetizers again, and also entrées and appetizers to take on the road. A really delicious surprise!
