I overheard one of the servers say “we’re not fancy” to someone and that is just about a perfect description of Ken’s. No frills. No gimmicks. Just a few staple mains and 2 types of potato as your side options. They’re not pretending to be anything. Just good food served by friendly people in a small town.

I mean, this place is an institution. The food is great, just exactly what you would expect from a place that has done business this long. A rib when you set down, a salad bar includes a hunk a cheese, fried okra, and a bowl a beans. One person get the ribs, the other get a steak and split it down the middle, both are worth getting, and them ribs naked. No sauce needed. Curly fries are my favorite.

A no frills steakhouse that’s worth the drive. Very simple menu with delicious steaks and salad bar. There’s nothing fancy or over the top here and there doesn’t have to be; just plain mesquite grilled steaks served with a baked potato. A meat lovers paradise!

We can’t recommend unfortunately. Out steaks we’re not that good. We never got our ribs. Only one refill on our tea. Salad bar was very basic. Don’t give you a menu so you have no idea how much your spending.
