Trash! I had the salmon, cabbage, mac n cheese, a chicken and a beef patty. The salmon was bland. The Mac was basically a macaroni pie with cheese on top (cheese does not exist inside). The cabbage wasn’t bad and the only reason why they got 2 stars was because of the patties and lemonade

I ordered from this restaurant today on door dash. I was a little apprehensive because I had never ordered here before. A lot of times with Jamaican restaurants, it’s a hit-or-miss. I can tell you now, I don’t regret ordering. I got oxtail’s, with rice and peas and cabbage . It was delicious. Very authentic. They weren’t skimpy about giving a good portion of oxtails. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The other day I got Jamrock Island Cove for lunch. I ordered their medium Jerk Pork w/ Rice and Peas & Collard Greens, with a Beef Patty as the side. First of all I didn’t even know Jerked Pork was a thing lol. It was absolutely phenomenal. It had great flavor, the pork was very tender, and had an excellent meat to fat ratio. The Rice and Peas were pretty good as well too. The best, for me though, were the Collard Greens! Usually I get their Oxtail Dinner (Which is AMAZING btw) with the cabbage. But wanted to try something different. Man were those collard greens on point! The Beef Patty on the other hand was absolutely lacking. Barely tasted the beef and there was a lot more dough than filling. But at least the dough was fresh! All in all I absolutely love Jamrock. Their food is always great, just a little disappointed in the beef patty. I would absolutely recommend Jamrock to anyone looking for some good Jamaican food in the Newark area!

The whiting sandwich was horrible!!! Dry overcooked small for $8?!!!! The rice and peas were good. Stew chicken lacks flavor and tenderness and definitely is not “Jamaican “… I never even received any plantains … fried chicken was nasty more flour than anything lacking flavor. Cabbage is ok but could be softer. Candied yams is a joke! Dry bland yams without a glaze?! Mac m cheese is too oil. Greens , no comment. We won’t be ordering anything else from here.

we took a chance and Ordered from this restaurant because our favorite Jamaican restaurant, Pimento Grill has been closed for weeks. The food was good and would been better if everything wasn’t so spicy. The rice and peas, the shrimp and pasta and the brown stew chicken was so spicy, we couldn’t eat it. won’t be ordering from here again.
