If you’re not sure about stopping, do it anyway!! Great atmosphere and a perfect way to end a day outdoors. The bartender was friendly and offered some of the best customer service. Take in some $1s to enjoy good music while you dine.

Spent a night here and loved the place. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The food…while spendy…is HUGELY portioned, so you definitely get what you pay for. And it was all delicious. The campfire fries were amazing

Stopped by after hiking the ape caves, grew up near cougar and thought I’d see if they were still as friendly and great as I remembered. Went around 1:30 and ordered some beers with friends in the bar. After ordering, we watched food get served to 2 other couples who had shown up after we did. After waiting an hour and a half, we were told our order was next. They proceeded to bring out 2 more tables of food. They apologized saying they forgot to put in our order. When we chose just to pay for the drinks, they made us wait while they canceled the order since they were apparently working on it….. Despite “forgetting” to submit our order. Our server was incredibly nice and helpful, but wasn’t always there. We did not get served food after an hour and a half and only were able to get 2 beers. Do not recommend eating here if you are not a regular in town. Food did look good though.

Came on a Saturday evening after the st Helens summit. This is one of the nearest places to the trail head so we stopped for dinner and was very happy by the choice.l. We tried the grilled chicken burger, bacon cheese burger and volcano burger. The volcano burger was the best among them, with double patty this was what we needed . We also got some jalapeno poppers which were okay. We wanted to try the eruption but they were sold out. Now all the burgers were really good, tasty and the side of clam chowder was also pretty decent.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a very very long time. I had the ape cave sandwich off the chart. We also had the garden burger. The chicken fried steak. Cheeseburger. Chicken tenders. All of that was wonderful. Somebody ordered the chicken sandwich and the piece of chicken was smaller than the tomato so I wouldn’t recommend that one.

Great place great food and awesome service stopped in with kids after a long day hiking and was really hungry when we were drawn in by the sign outside any place that doesn’t support Biden gets a chance with me! But on food it’s good quality and taste. Kids cheese burger was decent size and fresh fries.

Cougar Bar & Grill is a hidden gem! Everything was cooked to perfection and that’s saying a lot because I’m relatively picky. The fries was uniquely shaped and both creamy and crispy. Burgers and french dips were well seasoned. The staff was super friendly
