Asada tacos were tasty. Asada burrito with beans,rice, onion, and cilantro was delicious!. The green and red salsas were really good. Definitely going back to try some more things off the menu.

Best Mexican Food in Taos. We tried several of the more expensive and popular places in Taos, but after a conversation with a local, we headed to try Toribios. It is GREAT! Best Chili Rellenos and enchiladas in town! The red sauce is hot and full of flavor. The service was cheerful and prompt. If you want a fancy place or one that looks “authentic” then go elsewhere. If you want a “hole-in-the-wall” real Mexican Food place, then go to Toribios South. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll have $ left in your wallet, as well!

Delicious chips and salsa – the chips were fried fresh. Also got a beef burrito and a carne asada quesadilla – both were good, and it was about $12 for all of it! (we got it all to go)

Great selection of food. You can’t beat their weekly specials for only $10. The ladies working here are friendly and always have a smile. It makes you feel very welcomed. The food is reasonably priced and is not lacking in flavor whatsoever!

Actually, the food was VERY good. But the restaurant itself needs A VERY GOOD SCRUBBING DOWN!!!!! My arms and hands stuck to the table. My hubby was the first one to say something about it. My pants stuck to the chairs. Most of the table tops had vinyl coverings stapled on, but were sooooo dirty we sat at the only wood top table. Ahhhh, so sad when all it takes is some elbow grease.
