Stumbled upon this gem that’s been here for years. Ordered a double decker pimento grilled cheese sandwich and fries. It was good but I immediately had buyers remorse when I saw my friends meatloaf sandwich. I tasted his and it was amazing. I will be back for one of those.

This place is quite busy. There was 1 guy working 10+ tables on the inside and outside. We waited 25 minutes for a table and another 15 minutes for food. We tried the chicken and waffles, smash burger, and chocolate pie. The winner was the chocolate pie. Its creamy filling and meringue top are the things that make this restaurant authentically soul.

Stopped by to have breakfast on our way to a family vacation in Florida. All the food was excellent, restaurant was clean, ambiance was inviting, and service was cordial and prompt. Not only were the prices very reasonable, but they even offered a military discount. Spectacular experience!

I love this place. The jellies are a must have with every meal! I like the raspberry ghost pepper. I really respect that they support local artists with art hanging on the wall for sale. The jellies and honey for sale are locally made. Just overall a great locals experience with a multicultural flavor profile.

We stopped in for breakfast. The biscuits were really good. They were out of pimento cheese and substituted cheddar, but I think I’d like to try it with the pimento. Everything was good, we left very full.
